Chapter 9: As one door closes another opens

Silvers prospective

once I got to where the battle was happening I look up to see Nyx and Kirby ready to fight then he looked right at me and shot sleeping dust all over me nocking me out cold

A few hours later

Once I regained consciousness all I could see through my blurry vision was two people fighting in the smoky sky above Nyx looked at me, smiled and said something but i couldn't make out the words she then turned to face Kirby for the final blow or that's what she thought, she used a familiar spell one that she was forbidden to use "NO!"

I screamed hoping she'd hear me but it was no use they both were using the same darkness spell a dangerous one that could take out both of them killing one another in the process I watched in horror as they collided one last time, a huge explosion of black and blue clashed against one another, sending me flying into a tree, hitting my head then I was out once more.

                  A few hours later

I awoke once again but this time to silence no fighting nor screaming just silence "oh no" the thoughts just kept coming back me what if she's hurt or worse dead I forced myself to stand even with a concussion and a broken leg i pressed on hoping to find my friend alive "I'm coming Nyx" I said aloud and began walking and calling her name hoping she'd hear me

                  More hours go by

NOTHING! I scream kicking a rock in frustration but just as I was about to give up but I see her staff broken in two laying on the muddy ground and then to my horror there she was laying just a few inches  from the bloodied staff that was no longer glowing nor was her gem shining as bright as it once was what was more horrifying was the fact she wasn't moving nor breathing

  "no this can't be, it just can't" i run to her side despite the pain and agony I felt from my own wounds i then feel her pales no heart beat I look around for Kirby, but he was no where to be seen but i didn't care at this point all I cared about was Nyx

I then look back at her and fall to my knees and start to sob on her cold and lifeless body I scream into the foggy yet smoky air "she's gone and "it's all my fault I cry" but then a blue mist appears in front of me I look up to see Nyx but as a spirit "h..how" I thought

Silver she says softly

it wasn't your fault I'm the one who sacrificed my own life to save you all so you guys can live on knowing Kirby is gone I did it to save the ones I love I'm happy now and you shouldn't feel sorry for my death it was the only way

I look at her straight in the eyes tears still running down my face but we can't live without you I can't live without you I said.  Suddenly She came closer, putting a hand on my shoulder and kneels down next to me

My sacrifice wasn't invane i made that choice so you all can finally live in peace knowing that Kirby is dead and that I'm finally at peace and reunited with my mother, silver please live on for me and everyone els who risked their lives not only today but the lives that were taken away in the past just remember this one thing I love you she smiled

we then embraced in a long kiss that seemed to last for hours, after we broke apart we gave each other one last glance before her spirit and her body passed on to the after life, she smiled and handed me something before vanishing, it was her staff I look at it confused, but before I could say anything she descended into thin air.

I wipe the tears off my face and smile "she did this so we could be happy" I looked at the staff once again then back at the rising sun after a few minutes I decide to head back and tell the others all that has happened i smile even wider then before I'll never forget those words and the smile she gave despite everything that had happened on that dreadful rainy night

      A few years after the war ended

It had been a few years since the war and everything was still being rebuilt and i had become the new mare fossil was cupped up in his new home the Citadel all the time since the tardis got destroyed and shadow was as grumpy as always and as for the others they disappeared not to be seen again

other then that, anyways since then i had arranged a statue be built in the middle of town so we'd never forget our hero the one who sacrificed it all to save us and our home no her home because this is where her story truly began and where it ended she's in peace now and her legacy will live on opon many others forever

                           The end

they say adventures come to end eventually as for these brave hero's it's only the beginning and what lies ahead of them is something they'll never forget
