Max pov
"Max... it's time ..."
My head is pounding I know I have to do it I can't let the whole of the town I grew up in die and disappear like that but I can't leave my best friend behind I don't know how I'll be able to live on without her there has to be another way.
"Chloe... I'm so, so sorry... I... I don't want to do this,"
She hugs me tight and I can feel it, every emotion I have had for her, every piece of love is building up inside me. I have kept it to myself this whole time but she's never going to remember this only I will.
"I know, Max. But we have to. We have to save everybody, ok? And you'll make those fuckers pay for what they did to Rachel.
I can't help but stare at Chloe unable to say a word this is the one time I have ever seen her like this and I can't stand it, She's so Modest and she just wants the best but I can feel my heart racing holding back the tears. Chloe keeps talking taking hold of my hands I can hear her voice cracking as she begins to cry softly.
"Being together this week... it was the best farewell gift I could have hoped for, You're my hero, max."
That was it I couldn't hold out any longer I stared at her longingly and held her face and kissed her passionately. I felt her kissing me back after all this time she really did love me and now I had to leave her I had to let her die I just couldn't do it. We broke apart and I was left staring into her dreamy blue eyes. She started walking backwards but before I could say anything she began to speak again.
"I'll always love you... Now, get out of here, please! Do it before I freak. And Max Caulfield? Don't you forget about me..."
I was in shock I had to think of something fast but I couldn't I couldn't contemplate what was about to happen the only word i managed to get out was "Never "
I turned around and looked at the photo it seems like I took that a life time ago and now I have to go back "come on max you have to focus you have to do this"
Snap! the photo comes out of my camera and the butterfly fly's away from the bucket there's nothing I can do now someone has to get shot in this bathroom, slip down and lean against the wall "someone but why Chloe" I take out my diary and begin to write everything that's happened over the last week explaining it all then I hear the door open and Nathan Prescott walks in.
