Chapter 2

Peyton pov

When I rang the door bell some lady with chestnut hair and amber highlights answered it. The first thing that popped in my head was uncle Rocky Is cheating on auntie Maia. Then all of a sudden the lady broke down in tears so I patted her back and asked her this.

Peyton: um ma'm are you okay.

The lady: I'm okay.

Then she took my hand and said

The lady: hi I'm Laura and you must be Peyton.

All I could do was nod my head. Because I knew my moms name was Laura.

Peyton: um excuse me but if this isn't to rude to ask but why are you at my uncle Rocky and my auntie Maia's house?

Laura: it's not to rude to ask. I'm one of Rocky and Maia's friends I was just paying them a visit if you want I can go get them for you,

Peyton: I would love that.

Then Laura led me into the house and she went to go get uncle Rocky and auntie Maia. While I was sitting on the couch. Then I heard people walking down steps talking and I turned around and saw my uncle Rocky with the phone in his hand and a mad look on his face and Laura with a worried face.

Rocky: hey Peyton would you like to explain to me why your here?

Peyton: I would love to. Okay here it goes I was at uncle Ratliff and auntie Rydel's place helping them with josh while daddy goes on a date with that she devil Tiffany. Then auntie Rydel call's me downstairs and tells me daddy was coming to pick me up. So I sat on the couch waiting till he got there. Then finally he did. When I got in the car he said hi I said hi he asked me about my day at auntie Rydel and uncle Ratliff's house I said fine. Then I asked him about his date with that she devil then he got all mad and told me to stop being a brat and learn to like Tiffany and that I'm grounded. The next thing you know I'm out of the car running away with tears in my eyes. Then I stopped and saw I was at your house. So I rang the door bell and a lady named Laura answered. Then all of sudden she started crying. Then we introduced our self. Then she went to get you. That's it.

Rocky: okay a simple I ran away from my dads car would have worked to but hey atleast you told the truth.

Laura: so your dad has a girlfriend now?

Peyton: yeah. How do you know my dad anyways.

Then Laura got up and started whispering with uncle rocky. Then she spoke.

Laura: I'm your mom dear.

Those words stung right in my heart. I busted out crying.
