*When I get home*
Summer's POV
When I get to my new home in California I automatically feel out of place. I get out of the truck and unload the important things. (It's too late to unload the back)
Once I start to walk forward in the truck I hear a thud. I turn around and start to open the back. Then, my dad tells me we aren't unloading the back. I tell him ik but I heard a thud in the back. He tells me that he will check it out but for me to go to bed because I have school in the morning. I went up into the house and my dad lifted the back and looked I had no idea what he saw at first because he told me it was a raccoon. So I went upstairs and went to bed. The next day I woke up at 5:50 and got ready for school. I have heard California girls are really prepy so I decide to wear a pink lacey crop top, a pair of black jean sort shorts, and clean white tennies. I go downstairs grab my pink and purple hearted purse and my bright, neon, orange backpack. After, I walk into the kitchen and see a plate of waffles, eggs, and bacon. I go up to eat it and see mom cooking more bacon. "Thanks for the food mom." I say as mom sets down another plate for my dad. I look down and see my mom made four plates not three. So I desided to ask her. "Hey mom, why do we have four plates not three?" As soon as I ask she looks worried, like I just figured out her deepest secret. She quickly replied, "Oh dear! I must have made one extra! How stupid am I? That could have been your breakfast for tomorrow!" "Its okay mom, don't worry about it, it happens to everyone." She looks at her watch and then she shoves me out the door. "If you don't hurry you'll be late!" I quickly look at my phone and realize that she is right! So I grab my bags and head out the door.Author's note
