"Scarlett I didn't lie!" He opened his locker, I turned back around and stood by his locker
"Oh yeah?" I started "then where is it?"
"Scarlett I don't have it!" I looked in his locker, and saw a metal chain "then what's this?" I reached into his lockers and grabbed the metal chain.
"Scarlett I can explain!" He rushed
"No Nate you can't!" I yelled and walked away.

I walked into the lunch room to see Dean and Cody at their usual table, I saw Nate give me a look that says 'sorry' but I keep walking

I sat down at the table
"What's up Scarlett?" Dean laughed "you're fuming"
"Dean this is not the time" I mumbled "I'm going home."
"And how are you gong to do that?" Cody grinned
"I'm going to skip dumbass" I
barked. I stood up from the table and walked out of the cafeteria. Right to the left is a door and I went out.

I finally got on my street. I walked up the steps and got my keys out. I went in and plopped on the couch. My phone was buzzing like crazy. They were all texts from Nate
'Where are you'
'Why aren't you in class'
'Are you okay?'
'I'm coming over when school ends'
It was 2:45 and the last bell had just rang. I was expecting the boys to be home any minute now. Five minutes later I was getting a lecture about skipping classes by Cody and Dean.

Dean was always the cool one. He didn't ever care, he was the badass who only worried about me when some fuck boy would talk to me. But Cody, is the uptight, and paranoid one. Wants the best for me.
"What were you thinking? Pulling a stunt like that! What if someone kidnapped you?! What if you got hit by a car?!" Cody finished
"But nothing happened" I replied
Then there was a knock on the door
"No no no you do not tell him that I'm here!" I said while hiding behind the couch
"Hello Nate" Cody greeted
"Is Scarlett here?"
"Uh sorry no, she is hiding behind the couch and trying to get rid of her problems" Cody finished
"Cody you bitch" I sighed from behind the couch

I got out from behind the couch
"Scarlett you weren't in class today, are you okay?" Nate asked
"Yeah I'm fine" I said as I made my way towards the stairs to go up to me room.
"Scar, be polite to our guest" Dean snickered
"Dean is swear to god I will murder you while you sleep" I said while walking back down the stairs.
"Fine what do you want Nate?" I asked
"Please let me explain myself!" He yelled
"No. There isn't anything to explain." I turned back around.
I felt someone's hand on my forearm and I was pulled back.
"Nate I'm not talking to you"
"Fine" he let go of my arms and I went up the stairs.

He lied
He hid things

He is a bitch

"Scarlett come down here right now!" Dean yelled up the stairs
I sighed and walked down the stairs
"What do you guys want!" I sighed
"What kind of pizza do you want?" He laughed
"Dude you fucking made me think I was going to get another god damn lecture"
"Sorry sis."

I kept getting texts. I knew they were from Nate so I haven't even looked at my damn phone

The next day at school-

I scoped out the lockers to make sure Nate wouldn't see me. So didn't see him around so I thought it was safe to open my locker and put my shit away.

"Scar, we need to talk" I could practically heard the dumb smirk on mates face
"Only Dean can call me scar" I barked
"Oh. Cmon sweetheart." He added
I stood up and turned around. I got in his face
"Listen here you piece of shit, you can either get the fuck out of my face or-"
"Or what?" He laughed.
"Leave me alone"
"You won't do anything if I don't." He snickered
"Is that a fucking challenge?"
"Fine Scar, do it, do something in front of everyone. I dare you" he thought this was a game
"I'm not doing this right now Nate. Not get the fuck out of my way you fucking twat!"
"Fine slut!" He said. Holy shit. He had the balls to call me a slut? He had the fucking balls? He was about to get kicked in the fucking balls. Damn.

I went to my first class of the day. I sat and paid attention as usual. When something caught my eye.
"Class this is Nick, he is new to our school" Mrs.Powers looked through her clipboard "Scarlett, would you be so kind and show nick around? You guys have the same classes."
"Yeah I can show him around"
She gave us a hall pass and we went to the hallways that out classes are in most are.
"So you're Scarlett?" He asked
"Yeah." I said
"That's a very pretty name."
"Thank you"

Nick seemed cool. He was kind of emo. Like me. His hair jet black and his eyes emerald green. He had a simple fashion

Boots
Band shirt
That was usually what I would wear.
"What brings you to Maryland?" I asked
"My dads job, what about you?"
"Me and my brother moved down here" I said
"That's cool"
