Harry got up the next day to feel the morning sun on his face, but the warm ray of light was nothing compared to what glinted in his eyes.
He whistled to himself cheerily as he showered and dressed. Everything felt different, completely tipped upside-down. Now, even though he wasn't in any hurry, the minutes couldn't go faster. Everything took twice as long, because he just wanted to start living the day.
At long last, he was out the door, and had apparated away.

Ginny sighed as she looked over at Blaise's sleeping form. It was a perfect day, and she had to start it feeling like this. Guilty. Ashamed. Frustrated. Miserable.
Blaise rolled over, onto his back, and he let out a sigh, his eyes on the ceiling. Ginny propped herself up on one elbow and bit her lip as he turned to look at her, still dreamy-eyed.
"Ginny?"
"….Yeah, Blaise?" She asked tentatively, shrinking back from him.
"How's Harry going?"
Ginny was taken aback. No reprimanding? She frowned down at him, reading his expression, but no unfriendly emotion was there. He just lay there, looking up at her, eyes fixed on hers.
"What? I thought...I thought you were mad at me."
"I was, baby. I'm sorry. I must have made you have a sleepless night, hey?"
"Yeah…" Ginny admitted, rubbing the back of her neck with a sheepish smile. "I'm sorry though. I shouldn't have run off without-"
"Shhh…"
Blaise lifted a hand and touched her face, love written in his dark eyes. Ginny smiled at him, and leant down to kiss him. He held her there, his hands caressing her face, as their lips moved together.
Ginny slid down beside him, and cuddled against his body, her hand resting on his chest.
"So, baby, how was Harry?" Blaise asked casually. Ginny grinned.
"Oh, you bet."

"Hey, Parvati!" Harry called, and she turned in his direction; she looked tired but unmistakeably happy to see him. Her expression broke into a huge smile, the lights in her dark eyes dancing.
"Hey." She whispered, as he pulled her into his arms. A camera flashed to their left; Harry sighed.
"Reporters. They don't waste any time, do they?" He smiled, kissing her gently on the forehead before steering her away. Dozens of flashes and clicks called after them as they walked off; Harry made sure to kiss Parvati again to keep them happy.
That should give them a story, he thought to himself, as they strolled casually through the moving mass of wizards and witches. Harry chuckled and tightened his hold on Parvati's shoulder as they walked past everyone, stopping all in their tracks as they stared after the Boy Who Lived and his new flame.
"How do you stand that?" Parvati asked him, looking slightly annoyed as she looked around at the motionless wall of eyes, all pointing their way.
"Stand what? The staring?" Harry asked, lifting an eyebrow, and grinned as she let out an exasperated sigh.
"Ah, you get used to it."
"How?" She hissed back at him, but she was smiling.
"Don't worry. No cameras in my office."
But no sooner had he opened the door to let her in, than he saw Rita Skeeter, that lovely, inspiring woman, sitting cross-legged on his desk.
"What are you doing here, Rita?" Harry asked her, his tone polite, but he made sure she heard the note of annoyance in his voice.
