" I am not doing this" MeMe replied to her mom " But you have to, the school said that they would not let you go into the school unless you had this on your wrist." Her mother nagged. " It's so embarrassing though how am i supposed to make friends. If i have this thing one me?" MeMe questioned back. Her mother just sighed and looked at the ground and thought to herself how this could harm her daughter socially. However there was simply no other option. She had to wear it or might get kicked out of the school before she even starts going to it. MeMe took advantage of her mother's thinking and quickly spat out. " Why can't i just do school online?" MeMe whined.
" Oh, you know why, both both me and your father have jobs, and what if something happens to you while we are not home?" " I will be fine mother for heaven's sake i am fourteen. I can be home alone. " Her mother just rolled her eyes at her daughter's statement. " listen her Missy if you do not just take it now, then we can wait for your father to come home and have him deal with this." MeMe not wanting to deal with her dad over this studied thing. She snatched the bracelet from her mother's hand and put it on her wrist. " Fine i will wear it." She said to her mother in a frustrated tone. " Thank you" her mother replied. " But i won't like it." She said back as MeMe walked away entering into her room.
MeMe got into her bed which was the bottom bunk. She pulled the The outer-space bed sheet that was tucked into the mattress of the bottom bunk and covered her bed like a curtain. She laid her head on her pillow and looked at the plastic bracelet while pulling at it. Having it thumping against her wrist. She heard a door open and close thinking it was her mother she told her to go away and that she wanted to be alone. " Oh really, because it seems like mom want that to." The voice said. She knew it was not her mom but her brother. He must of been able to get out of practice early today. He pulled back the sheet and looked at her sister and sat on the bed next to her feet.
" What did you do, now?" He asked her. " Look Mickey Look!" she said to him. Holding out her humiliation while covering her face in shame. Her brother read the words to himself. He wanted to tell her that it would be fine and that nothing would happen to her. But her could not risk the chance of telling a lie to his little sister. So he lowered her hand and looked into her eyes and told her that if anything bad happened to tell him and he would take care of it. MeMe loved the offer but hated the fact that she had to rely on her big bro for a problem so babyish as this. " Thanks she told him, but i think i can handle myself for now." She said back " I know you can." He replied as he scuffed up the hair on her head and got up the exit the room. Right before he closed the door he looked back to her and said. " Bedsides who do you think is, dumb enough to mess with the captain of the Football team's little sister." MeMe just smiled in response.
