Chapter 1

( 10 years later )

I was in my room, when my mother called me down.

"Hazel, come down here please!" She yelled

I got up and went down stairs to the kitchen to see my mom at the stove cooking herself lunch.

"Hey sweety are you going to go out and look for that boy again?" She asked.

When I was 7 I had gotten lost from my brother in the woods and a boy helped me get back to him but I never got his name so after that day, I've have gone to the woods to look for him. But that was over 7 years ago so I gave up.

"No, I think I'm just going to go for a walk today."

"Okay sweet just make sure when you get home everything's locked up and you bring your keys."

"K mom." I said going to my room to change into a gray long-sleeved shirt, with black jeans, my brown boots, and my ring which has five wolfs going around it howling at the moon that my dad gave me before he past away.

I went down stairs, said my loves to my mom, grabbed my keys, and put them in my back pocket with my phone then left the house. I started walking into the woods not feeling like going the path, so I didn't. Suddenly, I saw a wolf pup just a few feet, maybe even just a few inches from me.

It looked like it had a broken paw from a trap. Probably a bear trap. It started backing away from me very slowly with a scared look on it's face.

"Hey, its okay, I won't hurt you." I said even though it could not understand me.

It stopped for a second, but then it turned around and started to limp away from me.

I started to jog to keep up with it.

Now I know what your going to say, 'Hazel, if it ran away from you,then it doesn't want to be near you at all.' but something was just telling me to follow it.

"Hey, its okay, I promise I won't hurt you!" I say as it ran away from me.

I kept following the pup till I saw a huge house like a mansion.

I saw the pup run into the area of the house, so I ran in with it. And not even 5 minutes later, someone grabbed my arm and pulled me back.

"WHO ARE YOU, AND WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE!" Yelled a man that made me jump out of my skin.

I looked up and saw the man was no older then 18. He had on a tight fitted black t-shirt with blue jeans and brown eyes.

"I ASKED YOU A QUESTION!" Yelled the guy.

"I was following a pup here because it looked like it had a hurt paw sir." I said while I put my fingers to my forehead like I was saluting a commanding officer.

What can I say, he was giving me this commanding officer vibe.

"What do you mean?" He asked.

"Well what - " Right as I was about to answer him, and young women came out and stopped me from talking.

"Cole, what are you doing?" Asked a young woman with light blue eyes and short brown hair with blonde highlights.

She has on a light pink tank-top with light blue jeans and had pink lip gloss on. She had grayish light blue eyes and looked to be 17.

"Hello." She said when she saw me.

"Hi." I said as I put my hand back down to shake her hand.

"What's your name?"

"Hazel Wolf, you?"

"Summer Lee. Its nice to meet you. So what brought you here?"

"I was following a..." but before I could finish, Cole interrupted me.

"SUMMER! What are you doing!"

"I'm just talking to Hazel."

"Don't, she's a..."

Just then, Cole lightly pull Summer to him and started to mumble something quietly to her.

"You know, if it's too much trouble, I can go home."

"Oh no, its okay. My boyfriend is just being hard-headed." she said.

"It's okay, trust me. My brother is coming home today from basic training soon. So I should be getting home now."

"Oh, well okay, I hope you can come back soon,"

"WHAT, NO! SUMMER DID YOU NOT JUST HEAR ANYTHING I TOLD YOU!"

"COLE, WILL YOU SHUT UP!" Summer yelled. Surprising me, not only was it the first time I heard her yell, but when she did, it came out almost like a growl.

"Okay, well you should probably get going. Hope to see you soon."

"You too, bye." I said as I started walking my way back home.

As I started walking home, I started thinking about that place.

What are they hiding?

I made a vow that day.

I will find out the secrets to the place one way, or another.

Cole isn't strong enough to keep me out. To continue hiding the secrets from me.

If you enjoy this please note, it will take me awhile to update because I had surgery on my head 7 to 6 months ago and I'm trying to write this book as fast as I can but still make a good.
