November Nightmares (2013)

Tree-house Slumber

She laid down in the tree house, knowing she would be safe here. She'd been running for too long, she needed a rest. Sleep hadn't been a problem before all this started, it felt like at least one day had passed to Stacey. Two days had passed in this Nightmared Reality.
Stacey curled up ready to sleep, the same way she had always curled up, legs bent with her calves diagonal to her thighs and her right hand against her cheek while her left arm was higher up and bent in an L shape.
She started to drift off to sleep, her body slowly shutting her mind off. As she drifted off to sleep, her tattoos started disappearing. Stacey felt a cold shiver blow over body where the tattoos had been. The shiver took out all trace of the tattoos from her body, it only left her mind with the memories that they had been there. She curled up tighter in hope to warm herself up after the shiver had passed. She drifted off into a deep sleep, she dreamt about home, how her parents were, if this nightmared reality was even real, if her parents were alive. She dreamt about her idol, Lillian Diselki, and meeting her, how amazing it would be, what life would be like being best friends with Lillian.

Lillian was a few years older than Stacey, she was seventeen and had become a huge sensation over the past few years. Since her mother died and the issues with her father occurred, Lillian's singing was one of the few things that could bring a smile to her face, Stacey first found a video of Lillian's singing on vidnowwatch.com, the most popular site for watching videos that people upload. She found Lillian's video by typing in the name of a song that she loved dearly, it was played at her mother's funeral. Lillian had made a cover of the song, Love Burns Deep. It had been Julia's favourite song, her and Stacey used to sing it for hours on end together. Listening to the song had made Stacey shed a few tears, but whenever she heard Lillian's voice, it was like listening to an angel. That's what Lillian was to Stacey, at least.
