Why me?

Part 3

                   As I walked into Health I could already tell that the teacher was more eager than any of us to start the project. I made my way to my seat hanging my bag on the hooks provided next to the door.  I grabbed a pencil and notebook just in case, since I didn't know what we need today. I sat towards the front and waited for the bell to ring. The soccer boys actually made it to class on time well except for one and sat towards the back. The teacher grabbed a container from her desk.

"Okay so the boys are going to pick a paper from this container. Each paper has a girls name on it which will be your partner for the assignment. Then you guys will join each other and go to the hospital to get your baby aka the science lab. You guys will have to meet over your free time this weekend to figure out a schedule suitable to both of you. So here goes nothing Yoandri would you like to go first?" she asked.

"Haha I'm the first one that got laid today." he said joking

"Does that mean your the first one stupid enough not to use protection."Joel said quoting what Yoandri said yesterday. The class cracked up knowing what he was referring to.

"Shut up, now who is the lucky girl to be my baby's mom." he said picking a name out from the container. "Selena" he said with a smirk. They've been known to hook up every once in a while.
Just because they are known to be players doesn't mean that they give evryone a chance. They only date people like them such as the populars. Which consist of cheerleaders, sluts and whores who have parties all the time who only certain people are allowed to attend, and athletic boys. It also so happens that the cheerleaders go to every soccer game so they have almost all their electives in the afternoon. So my class is full of soccer players and cheerleaders which doesn't leave much room for more students except me. I had to have health for seventh because all my classes were honors which meant they were certain periods. The only periods I had free were P.E for Second and health for Seventh. And there is no seventh period class because for seventh the gym is taken by the basketball boys for their athletic class.

So basically all the boys knew they were most likely to end up with a cheerleader except for one unlucky one that would end up with me. The boys called out names one by one until there were only about five left. Erick then walked in and the teacher gave him a nasty look. She gestured for him to get a slip of paper. Him clearly confused grabbed one either way.

"it's the name of your partner by the way." she told him when she saw that he was still confused. He headed to the back and hung his bag on his chair. Everyone was anxious to see who he got. Every girl wanted to be the lucky one.

"Natalia Valero" haha that's funny I almost thought he said my name. Wait did he just say my name?! Omg I couldn't believe it. He looked confused until the teacher looked straight at me."You're partner is right over there, my are you lucky to be paired up with her" the teacher said pointing at me. I didn't know what he thought about me being his partner he didn't show any emotions. He walked over to me " so now what do we have to do?" He asked. "Go to the science lab and pick a baby" I said
We headed off me leading him I saw some girls throw me dirty glances. I was kind of surprised he wasn't upset or something. We got to the science lab and saw there were rows of tables with baby robots on them and some supplies we would need. I'm guessing we're the only class that's doing this because I haven't seen anyone else with a baby all day. He lead the way next to his friends and I just followed awkwardly.
"Aye where were you a while ago?" Joel asked
"Yea we were going to wait but you took to long " Cristoff said
"I was busy" Erick answered but clearly the boys understood what he was actually doing.
" So who's your partner Erick?" Selena asked with her high pitched voice.
Erick then moved to the side leaving me as the center of attention because everyone was now staring at me like I was some new toy. I was highly embarrassed and felt my cheeks about to redden.
"Oh my" Selena said shocked, the rest of the boys were paired off with some cheerleaders who also were part of their little popular world.
Before anyone else could say anything the teacher walked in and told us the basics.
