The day is July 2. Two days before the first commencement of the Purge. For those of you who haven't been up to date on the news lately, the Purge passed. This idea allows citizens to commit any crime in 12 hours legally, even murder. You can only have weapons under a certain level and you can't harm government officials. This concept is to bring the economy up by basically clearing room out for new people and prosperity. In the town of Pekin, Illinois...the citizens couldn't be more excited.
My friends and I decided to test out the night and commit our right to purge. I am writing this in the morning before school. I will take this with me and continue writing. This journal is a story of what happened July 4th.
