You walk past Mr. Gold's shop at night, the wind picking up and running through your hair. You wrap your arms around yourself and quicken your step, eager to get home after a rough day at work. No one is on the streets, but you, as you turn down the road to your house.
"Where is a pretty girl like yourself going this late at night?" A voice asks leeringly. You lift your head up and look to the man who's walking towards you.
You swallow and stop walking. "It-it's not late." You say.
"Well it's dark." The man replies.
You squint at him. You've never seen him here in Storybrooke. "Who are you? Haven't seen you around here before." You state, your eyebrows drawn.
"Oh, that doesn't matter." He laughs softly, narrowing his eyes at you.
You give him a tight smile. "Well, it's been nice chatting, but I really need to go." You say, before turning on your heel.
Before you can go, the man grabs your arm. "You're not going anywhere." He hisses.
"Let go of me!" You exclaim, trying to shake his hold off of you. "Help! He-" You shriek, before the man clasps his hand tightly around your mouth.
You struggle against him, pushing him and kicking him as hard as you can. He tackles you to the ground and you cry out, landing awkwardly on your arm.
"I'd really let the lady go. That is, unless you want a hook through the chest." A voice says from behind your attacker.
Before you can blink, your rescuer hits your attacker over the head. He falls off of you and collapses on to the ground, unconscious. You slowly look up at your rescuer, yours eyes wide.
Your breath leaves you in a rush. "Captain Hook." You breathe as he gently helps you off the ground.
"Do I know you?" He asks, staring at you.
You shake your head, smiling a little bit. "No, no, your reputation precedes you." You laugh softly.
He gives you a smile then goes serious again. "Are you all right?" He inquires.
"Yeah, just a little shaken up." You murmur, putting a hand on your head. You glance down at the attacker. "Who is he?" You ask.
"I have no idea. But I planning on calling Sheriff Swan right now." Hook says, taking out his phone.
---
After Emma Swan has come, asked you questions, and took your attacker to jail, Captain Hook walks you home.
"Thank you, Hook, for saving me. I didn't think anyone was going to come for me..." You say, your hands clasped at your waist as you stand outside your front door.
"You're welcome, Y/N. I'm glad I was in the right place at the right time." He responds.
You smile. "Me too." You say. "Is it okay if I hug you?" You ask.
"Oh, no, no, that's fine." Hook says, as you're already hugging him. He laughs softly and pats your back.
"Thank you." You whisper again. "I owe you everything." You add.
"No, just a simple thank you suffices just fine." He says, looking at you and smiling.
You laugh. "I probably won't ever stop thanking you." You reply.
He chuckles. "Well, Y/N, I bid you good night. I'll see you around Storybrooke." He says.
"See you, Hook. Thank you again. And tell Emma thank you for me, please." You say.
"I will. Have a good night." He says, waving to you as he steps down the stairs.
"Goodnight." You say, smiling.
[THE END] I hope you liked it!
