so a few chapters back i asked you why you think Aleks was treating the situation at hand so casually and i got a variety of answers, most of which were on the right track but weren't getting it quite right.

basically, Aleks is so used to not having people pay attention to him that when somebody shows even the slightest bit of interest in him (let alone the intense infatuation his viewers hold for him) he automatically feels a connection with that person. so, for example: James asked Aleks if he does private shows, to which Aleks replies with "anything for you, babe." now, this could easily be misconstrued to mean something a lot less significant (i.e. camming is his job, so he must treat his viewers like that all the time and call them pet names) but that's not the case at all.  In Aleks' mind, James asking for a private show is the epitome of admiration and the "instant connection" is 100x stronger with him because of it. what he has is a form of histrionic personality disorder (Google it, look at the symptoms and suddenly everything will make sense) but he's made no effort to correct it, nor does he know he even has it, because he's so blindsided by the praise he gets online that he ignores the seriousness of the disorder since his viewers like how he acts because of it.

wow okay that was really long and i really hope that made sense bc it took me a while just to refine it to this point but I hope that cleared things up xo

BabyA: everything I do is for the sake of getting pictures for instagram and twitter

BabyA: getting nude for thousands of ppl probably isn't healthy either but you gotta do what u gotta do ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

JayJay: i could take you out sometime if you want..

BabyA: idk about that

JayJay: you've seen my face

JayJay: we've skyped eachother

JayJay: it's not like we're complete strangers and we're in the same state now that I'm back from my mom's

BabyA: i know

BabyA: I've just never been this close to anyone I've met online before

JayJay: and by "anyone I've met" you mean your viewers..

BabyA: kind of, yeah...

JayJay: I see

JayJay: i can give you time if that's what you need? i understand the hesitation
