I saw a commercial asking to repeal Marriage Equality
The same people who protest Pride Parades
The same people who believe Planned Parenthood is a crime factory
The same people who don't bat an eye when another youth dies
Do they not see the blood soaking their hands?

Countless LGBT teens have taken their lives or had them ripped away
Gone too soon
just another name on a tombstone
These people claim to follow God's teachings
Does God not say to love thy neighbor?
To leave the judgment of one's sins up to him?
What good are you doing by throwing stones
in the form of words?
Do you feel better when another teen decides they don't deserve this life?
That they're defective and going to hell because of what you preach?
The words you preach are poisoned with hate
I will not let their blood stain my hands, too
We don't need your acceptance
We need to feel safe and know there are people there to protect us
Regardless of race, gender, sex, and sexuality
Don't tear us down when we constantly work to build ourselves up
Because what good is life without love and respect?

PoesíaTalk about a cliché name for a cliché book of teenage poetry that explores sadness, crushes, self-hatred, and general feels. I don't write poems often, but when I do, I pick up a pencil and write.
