A/N: I've been writing Bechloe fanfictions for a while now (in ff.net), but all of them were about Beca chasing after Chloe. Well, this one is different. Enjoy and vote if you think the story is promising :)
This happened two months after the Worlds. She was on the airport, sitting on one of the chairs in the waiting room, when she was thinking about all the things that were about to happen to her. She was about to start a new life in the distant California, where she has never been before. She knew that exploring the world and traveling to new places is a good thing, but it just didn't feel right for her. "Is this what I really want?", Chloe whispered to herself. She straightened and started walking in small circles in front of her seat. She knew that moving in another state is a big deal and this was her last chance to question her decisions. Is this what I really want, Chloe asked herself again, but only this time, in her mind. The idea about being a choreographer seemed pretty lame to Chloe now.
The redhead heard the reception lady calling the last chance for people that are late to take their seats on the plane. Chloe knew this was the plane she was supposed to be in now. She was going to miss her flight and the money she spent on the ticket were about to go to hell. Chloe took a deep breath as she approached the reception lady to give her the ticket, but once she took the ticket out of her purse, her phone started ringing.
"Miss, you should power your phone off before getting in the plane." - The reception lady said. But Chloe felt like she can't stand her voice right now because she had to check who was calling her.
"Yeah, excuse me for a moment." - Chloe replied, while she was taking her phone out of her purse. The reception lady rolled her eyes, murmuring:
"Sure, take your time."
Chloe ignored her completely and picked up the phone, without bothering to check the Caller ID. She waited for the person on the other side to speak first.
"Chloe? It's me. It's an emergency. I need you." - Chloe was thankful that the person on the other side was using short sentences because otherwise the ginger wouldn't understand a word from that trembling, worried voice. Of course, the redhead recognized it immediately, which made her worried as well. Her heart started beating faster than ever. She lost the control over her body. Next thing she knew is that she approached the exit. The reception lady's voice tried to stop Chloe:
"Miss, where are you going? You're gonna miss your flight!"
"Now I have a pretty good excuse to do so." - The ginger replied. She never looked back when she exited the airport. Then she remembered that she had to answer something to one of her best friends she was afraid that she'll never talk to again.
She looked at the Caller ID to make sure her guess about who she is talking to was right. And it was. She couldn't have confused this talented voice with anybody else's. When she is looking back on her memories from Barden, Chloe may not remember anything else that clearly like this voice's owner. "Are you still in Georgia?"
"I am. I'll be waiting for you in our place." - Chloe's friend spoke again. The redhead grinned and even blushed. She felt a little ashamed that she had no clue what the girl on the other line was talking about because she knew that this was a thing she would remember.
"I don't know what you're talking about." - Chloe quickly remembered that the situation was emergency, so the grin on her face disappeared. The redhead got really upset. She knew that in such situations, time is everything and it all depended on her.
"Chloe, I need you to focus. If you're not here to cure me, nothing will." - Chloe spotted the serious tone in the small brunette's voice. The ginger could almost feel the tears falling down Beca's face. It was breaking her heart. The DJ ended the phone call soon after she said those words, leaving Chloe completely mind-blown. She tried to think of possible places that could be "her special place" with Beca. And she had to think fast, what if Beca's life was in danger? Chloe was sure that if anything happen to the brunette, she would never forgive herself. The ginger tried to open her brain a bit to find this place. She knew it should be somewhere in her memories. And there it is, it was so obvious. Chloe took a cab from the airport because she actually wasn't that far from the place. The ginger arrived soon at Barden University. She got off the cab and started to think where the Activities Fair should be, where it all started.
"You came." - A desperate voice showed Chloe the way out of her thoughts. Chloe turned around to see the small brunette that looked like she was crying with days. That made the redhead feel even more bad for not knowing that there's something going on with Beca.
"You said it's emergency." - Chloe approached her friend and placed her hands on the brunette's shoulders. Beca nodded and didn't lift her head up again. When she never said what's wrong, Chloe continued: "Beca. You scared me to death. Tell me, what's wrong?" - The redhead tried to make an eye contact with the DJ, but Beca was trying to avoid it.
"He left." - Was the only thing she replied.
"Who left?"
"Jesse." - Beca was trying her best to fight the tears, but she couldn't. It was too much. "He left me behind. I'm no longer a part of his life." - Without being able to say anything else, Beca started crying and pulled Chloe into a hug. The ginger was very confused. She has never seen The Beca Mitchell cry. Ever. Probably it was new for both of them.
"We'll make it through this, Bec. You'll see. You and me." - The last thing Chloe wanted was to disappoint her best friend. She has loved her all her life, it was time for her to show it. The redhead pulled the brunette closer. She knew what it is like to have a heartbreak. She was there, she remembered it. But she had Aubrey to help her get through it all, while on the other hand, Beca didn't have anyone until now. Who knows how long has she been hiding that. "Let's go to yours now."
"Yeah, we can do that." - Beca took a breath to calm herself down and caught her friend's hand. The two of them started walking down the street, all the way to Beca's.
