Chae Won could hear sound of gulls vaguely on her ears. She slowly opened her eyes and see the sea from the sideway. Opening car’s window, she could hear the sound of the waves and smells the salty water.

“You’re awake?”

Chae Won turned her head and saw Joong Ki –driving the car.

She smiled, “ne.”

Joong Ki took a glimpse of her and smiled back. He reached her hand and held it tight.

Not long after, he parked near the beach and both of them got out from the car.

“Waaa… the sea is beautiful!” she said cheerfully as she go first to get closer to the sea. She closed her eyes, felt the sea breeze on her face.

He chuckled softly while looking at her standing so close to the water, her excitement makes him happy.

For the past couple weeks Joong Ki was so busy with his college, acting class and the shooting for dramas. Though they were still met each other, they never had a chance to go on a real date so it’s understandable for Chae Won to act like a little girl when they finally had a date.

And they go to her favorite place, which made her happier.

“Joong Ki-sshi.” She reached her hands. Smilingly, he took it. They walk along the beach with their fingers entwined to each other. There’s no one on the beach at the time, which makes them feel like the sea is only belong to them.

After took a walk, they rested on the sand. Chae Won sat with her back up against Joong Ki’s chest as he hugged her from behind. She could hear his heartbeat and breath rhymed with the sound of the waves.

“Chae Won-ah. Are you happy?” Joong Ki asked after a moment of silence between them. She nodded. “it’s a relieved.” He spoke again.

“Joong Ki-sshi too... are you happy?” she asked back. Slowly,he hugs her tighter, protects her from the cold as the wind became strong.

“Not one day I don’t feel happy when I’m with you.”

Chae Won can’t hide her smile as she heard him said that words. She stroke his arms, felt so comfortable in it.

“Ah, I forgot something.” He let go of her and took something from his pocket.

It was a necklace with a small ring made from silver as its pendulum.

“Happy anniversary, Moon Chae Won-sshi.” He spoke as he put it around her neck.

Chae Won got surprised by the sudden present he gave her. Joong Ki isn’t type of man who give presents out of his concerns. Even on his family and friends birthday, he never give presents unless they asked him to.

“Read what the ring says.” He told her.

Chae Won looked at it. She stared at it before she realized that there’s something carved onthe inside part of the ring. “MCW, thank you for being in my life.–SJK”.

She turned to see his face. “do you like it? That’s my sincere thought.” He asked with a smile on his lips.

“Joong Ki-sshi. Eottoke? I didn’t prepare anything for you.” She asked worriedly. She meant to make him a dinner as a present but they were out right now so she could do nothing.
