Bill. Is. In. My. Doorway. I couldn't believe it. Bill, the Bill of my dreams, was stepping into my room. Coming closer, and closer, and all I could do was stand there and stare at him like an idiot. He stepped slowly towards me until we were face to face. And I couldn't utter a word.
Finally, he broke the silence. "Aren't you gonna say hi?"
"Um, hi?" I managed.
"That's better. Aren't you glad to see me?" he asked with a sly grin on his face, then held his arms open for a hug. I stepped into his arms, smelling cigarette smoke barely masked by men's cologne. Then he let go and stepped back.
"What're you doing here?" was the first thing that rolled off my tongue when I opened my mouth to speak.
"Uh, surprise?"
"Did I win some contest or something? Is that why you're here? Coz I don't really remember entering any contests with Bill Kaulitz coming over to my house as the grand prize. Wait, this must be a dream then. Yeah, that's right. A dream." I knew I was babbling my mouth off, but what else could I do with Bill standing less than a foot away from me?
"Contest? Dream? What the hell are you talking about? Don't you want your extremely famous best friend, who has practically no time to spare, cancel his next show to surprise you?" he asked, looking puzzled.
Best friend? "Uh, I don't know what to say. We're best friends?"
"What's wrong with you? Of course we're best friends, we've been best friends since kindergarten. Don't you remember?" he said, surprised at my apparent stupidity.
"Uh, um..."
Then, thank God, my mum poked her head around my door and asked "Can I come in?" before coming in. "So, surprised? I set it all up for you. I was sure you wanted to see Bill when he was in town. You haven't seen him in ages." she said, eyeing me. "You are surprised, aren't you?" she asked, worried.
"Uh, yes, very much so. And you set this up?" I said grinning like there was no tomorrow when I realized that Bill Kaulitz is in my room, and both he and my mum was saying that he's my best friend.
"Yes, haven't I already said so? And Bill," she said with a sly smile, "have you told her yet?"
"Told me? Tell me what?" I said cautiously.
"Okay, I know this is pretty sudden and you probably already have plans for the summer and all but... would you consider spending the rest of the summer with me and the band on our world tour? Your mum's okay with it, so you don't have to worry. But I'll understand if you don't want to, coz you probably have plans already, so-"
"Yes! The answer is yes! I'll go with you guys." I was so shocked at his proposal and I will not miss going on a Tokio Hotel world tour for the world!
"Alright! We leave tomorrow." he said with a huge grin, then glancing at the clock on the wall, gasped and said "Oh, sorry, I lost track of time, I gotta go! Bye!" and as he was about to leave my room, told me that he had changed his number and gave me his new one. Then he and my mum left, and I was alone in my room, where Bill had been in seconds ago, and I sank onto my bed, wondering how this all happened, remembering yesterday's signing session where I felt that something when I looked at Bill and thinking that if I was his best friend, why didn't he mention anything then? But then I remembered wishing on the shooting star last night.
Had my wish come true?
