Evelyn's POV
We got into the waiting limousine and.... drove to I don't know where. I didn't take part much in my wedding preparations. soo... and I don't even know if I'm going to even have a "honeymoon"! I looked to my right to see him staring right back at me.
"We will be staying at my penthouse today. And tomorrow we will leave tooo.... uhm. I'll tell you tomorrow" he said with a gentle smile trying to reassure me that everything's going to be okay.
"Your penthouse?" I asked. The one where he takes his women?
"No.. no... this is a new one. It's my hotel. The one that me and Daniel have in partnership. I only bought it for you. I mean for after the wedding. Our house will be ready by the time we come back... and it's not.. thaaat penthouse."
"Yeah... such a long explanation" I said chuckling at his nervous state.
"What I wanted to say was that there's no other women. Before? Yes. But not now. And it's a new penthouse that I bought. Daniel has one but I didn't feel the need before.. but now is different" he said giving me his signature look.
"Hmmm" I said and rested my head on the window glass eventually falling into sleep.
"Eve....." I heard Nick's soft voice. I just hummed in response. "Evelyn......" he called again, and he shook my body a bit this time and I opened my eyes angrily. I was still sitting in the car but not against the window but with my head on his shoulder. And a drool out my mouth. Shit! I wiped his suit. Thankfully nothing was there. And I looked at one of my leg which was still resting on his thigh. "It's OK" he said.
I looked up at him. "How did I get here. I slept with my head on the window right" I said rubbing my eyes.
"No. You weren't sleeping. You were actually hitting your head onto that window" he said. "We have to go up now. Come" he said but I shook my head and rested on his shoulder again.
After few seconds I heard a shuffling and then he gathered my legs with his other hand supporting my back he picked me up. Of course, it was a bit difficult for him to get out of the car with my weight. But as he stood, he was just as calm.
I was still shocked by his actions. "Am I not heavy?" I asked him with confusion. I know I am very heavy. I might still be a bit plump.
"You're not. Not for me" he said with a smirk.
"Fine. Now put me down. I lost my sleep" I said and now we were already in the lift and he quickly put me down. Thank god! I didn't fall.
"That was rude! Thank god I didn't fall and embarrass myself!" I whisper yelled at him.
"The penthouse suite" he said to the lift man like he didn't hear me.
By the time we got to our floor I was leaning on my back almost ready to sleep again. "Come" he held my waist and pulled me forward."How is it? To your liking?" He asked as soon as he opened the door with the card. Believe me... I'm speechless!
My parents never ever took me to such grand places. It's my first. And whenever they used to invite me, it was for their own selfish reasons. I didn't mind though; I hated their snobby rich parties.
I never went out with Cara or her dad because I didn't want to be known as an obstacle. I stayed away.... mostly. But this time, I didn't even have to dress up or impress anyone. My make up is completely smudged. My mother would have locked me away by now. And here my dear husband is waiting for my reaction on this wonderful gift."You don't even have to ask. This is beautiful. And this is just the living room" I said, and he was grinning from ear to ear, proud of himself.
"This will be our bedroom" he said opening the door for me. This was larger than any other rooms I saw.
It was soo classy. One side was our bed on the other side was my favourite TV.
