A/N: Hey guys! So this is another story idea that I desperately wanted to try out. This is only the prologue, but I would love any feedback that I can possibly get. So leave a comment or a vote, and tell me what you think! If enough people like this prologue, I'll put up the first chapter soon. Also, I'm going to shoot for long chapters! I hope you like this idea as much as I do!

"Lauren! Come on! If you don't hurry, we'll miss the—!" Camila exclaims as she hits the ground after tripping over her own two feet. "Ouch!"
Lauren just laughs and holds out her hand to help her fallen girlfriend. "Camz, this is why you really shouldn't run. You're literally the biggest klutz that I know," she says.
"Don't laugh at me!" Camila shouts. "No, seriously! You won't be laughing when out cruise ship has departed and all of the money we spent was on nothing!"
"Fine. Sorry." Lauren rolled her eyes, pretending to be offended by the smaller Cuban's words.
The short brunette took hold of Lauren's hand, then hoists herself back onto her feet. She grabs her luggage for the week, then begins to walk quickly towards the cruise liner. Lauren treads after her girlfriend, catching up to her in no time thanks to her longer legs that allow for longer strides. As the two walk side-by-side, they anxiously look around for the Carnival company's logo. Lauren pulls her phone out of her pocket to check the time, only to find out that they only had five minutes until the cruise ship's scheduled departure time. After locking her phone and putting it in her pocket, she is shocked when Camila stops in her place and points at one of the docked ships.
"There she blows!" Camila exclaims, trying hard to make herself sound like she had just spotted Moby Dick in the ocean.
Lauren's eyes look in the direction of her girlfriend's pointed finger, till she finally notices a ship ahead of them that read 'Carnival' in big, black lettering. She grabs Camila's small hand and practically pulls her all the way to the cruise liner's entrance. Just as they arrive, they notice that the woman accepting tickets was already on her way to the ship's entryway. When the blonde woman hears the couple running behind her, she turns her head to see the pair waving their tickets at her. Without a word, the woman takes their tickets and looks them over a few times, only to hand them back to their respective owners. This causes both Lauren and Camila to send looks of confusion to the woman.
"Why did you hand them back to us?" Lauren questions.
The blonde shakes her head and frowns apologetically. "I'm afraid that the cruise ship that you two are looking for is all the way on the other side of the harbor."
Both of the girls just look at each other and drop their heads in disappointment. The two have spent so much time and money just to get their vacation all planned out, and now everything was ruined.
"Thank you for your time, miss." Lauren frowns and puts her arm around her girlfriend's shoulders in order to comfort her. Just as the two start to walk away, they are stopped in their tracks when someone puts their hands on the couple's shoulders. When the two turn their heads, they see the blonde woman again. This time, she wore a smile.
"You two do know that I was only kidding around, right? This is the only Carnival cruise docked here at the moment. Even if this really wasn't your cruise, I'm sure the captain would call up the other one in order to make him wait for you. But, no worries. This is exactly where you want to be. Just hand me your tickets, then I'll guide you to where you need to go." The woman said to the couple.
Within such a short time, the couple's moods change from disappointed to excited as they hand off their tickets to the blonde for the second time. This time, she actually keeps them with her. The couple follow the blonde woman into the cruise ship, then watch her as she secures the door shut. As soon as the woman finishes, she instructs the Cuban couple to follow her. They are led to the front desk, where a brunette male sat with his feet up on top of it as he read a copy of Sports Illustrated. The blonde woman stares at the man for a few seconds with her arms crossed until she finally lets out a fake cough, which snags his attention instantly.
"That's real professional, Lou," she says.
The brunette boy adjusts himself into a more professional-looking position on his chair and places his magazine inside one of the drawers in the desk. "Yeah? And what were you doing, Hansen? Tricking this beautiful couple into thinking that their cruise is on the other side of the harbor? You know, that thing that you've done for the past few weeks now." The guy has a British accent, which completely catches the couple of girls off guard.
"Maybe..." The woman trails off, sticking her tongue out at her British co-worker. "Anyways, these beautiful ladies need the card keys to their room."
"Right," he says. "Now, what name are your tickets under?"
Lauren replies, "They're under mine. Lauren Jauregui is the name."
The man looks through a list, trying to find the corresponding key number. Everyone waits a minute before he finally looks up at the three girls. There is a moment of silence until the blonde woman finally decides to speak up.
"What's taking so long, Louis?" she asks.
The man named Louis extends his hand in order to motion at the list of names. "They aren't on the list. I've searched everywhere, but I couldn't find them. I'm terribly sorry, loves."
The blonde furrows her brow. "It's not funny when you do it, Lou. Just give them their keys."
"I'm not joking, Dinah. They really aren't on the list." Louis holds the book of names up for all three girls to see.
Lauren squints her eyes at the book, then face palms when she realizes why he couldn't find her name. Camila bursts out into laughter when she realizes why, and the blonde girl named Dinah continues to search. The older Cuban rips the book away from the man, then flips from the page full of names beginning with an 'H' to the page full of names beginning with 'J'. Once she finds her name, she points at it, then shows Louis.
"J-A-U-R-E-G-U-I." Lauren spells her name aloud to the man. "My last name has Spanish origin, so it starts with the letter 'J'."
Louis takes the book back from Lauren, examining the name on the page to see which key number they have. He closes the book, then reaches for a specific key that he hands off to Lauren. "My apologies. Enjoy your stay, Miss Jauregui." He pronounces her name entirely wrong just to mock her, which causes her to shoot him a glare.
"Thanks, Lewis." Lauren smirks as she pronounces his name wrong as he did to her.
The two girls escape the lobby, trying to avoid any further bickering between the two co-workers, then try to find their room. As they walk, Lauren examines the paper holding the two card keys together and sees that their room was number seventy-eight. Both girls scan the room doors, hoping to finally find their room. As the two approach their room, Lauren counts the numbers aloud to herself.
"Seventy-six... seventy-seven... and seventy-eight. We're here, Camz!" she exclaims. She takes one of the card keys out, then slides it through the lock.
With a click, the door opens to reveal the room that the couple would be staying in for the week. The room stunned the girls with its elegance and beauty instantly. Its walls were a light tan color, and its carpet was blue-green. Various detailed paintings of ships and the ocean covered the walls as well, just to add an ocean-like feel to the room. The bed stood upon a platform that was slightly raised from the normal floor level, and its covers were white with all different kinds of sea shells printed on it.
"I'm going to use the little Cuban's room real quick," Camila says. She places her luggage against the wall, then walks through the bathroom door that stood on the opposite side of the room from the bed.
Once Camila shuts the door behind her, Lauren quickly opens her suitcase and rummages through her things to find a particular item. Much to her relief, she pulls out a tiny, black box that had been hidden beneath all of her clothes and toiletries. She opens the small box to reveal a gorgeous ring with one medium-sized diamond at the center and two smaller-sized diamonds on its sides. On the inside of the band reads the date that the two first met, which Lauren had engraved into it shortly before leaving for the cruise.
This, Lauren thinks to herself, is the week when I finally ask Camila to marry me.
