Pepper & Tony Oneshots

Date Night

        "Where are we going?" Pepper asked giddy with excitement. Tony's hands were covering her eyes as they walked."It's a surprise and we're almost there."He replied. Earlier that day when Tony texted her about a date and told her to wear something nice but comfortable She was confused but did as he asked choosing a pair on skinny jeans a new black layered shimmering tank top with lace on the fringes and a pair of nice silver flats . Now after walking around the woods for what seemed to be hours was making her a little impatient. Just as she was about to speak her eyes were uncovered and she gasped. The scene in front of her was like something out of a fairytale. Under a huge oak tree a beautiful silky blanket covered the ground with cushions scattered around. A picnic basket and an ice bucket holding a bottle of red wine and two glasses sat off to the side their war a sheer canopy with twinkling lights handing over the branches. It was beautiful. "Do you like it?" Tony asked. He sounds unsure and nervous Pepper thought that's a first. "Tony it's gorgeous!" She answered. Tony breathed a sigh of relief. "Good, because to be honest this is the first time I have done something like this." He confessed. Pepper smiled and thought to herself he did all of this for me. Wordlessly Tony grabbed her hand and led her to the blanket where they both sat down. "Wine?"he asked being a gentleman. "Please."she said, watching as he poured two glasses of wine and handing her one and waited for her to take a drink first then followed suit. He watched as she stared at everything around her in wonder. "I know we ate at home but I hope you still have room for dessert." Tony said taking two plates of cheese cake topped with blackberries and whipped cream. Pepper smiled." Why thank you." She said cutting off a piece of cake and eating it. Once they were finished Tony motioned for her to come over to him and she did crawling into his arms where they stayed for a few hours just talking about anything that came to mind until Pepper fell asleep which after kissing her cheek Tony did as well they stayed there until morning as they watched the sun rise together.
