"So," Kasima spoke, taking a sip from her cup of tea as she sat across from Willow at the small table, "are you and Jackson still fuck buddies?"

She nearly choked on her bagel at the words before coming to her senses and glaring at the girl in front of her.

"No strings attached," Willow clipped, drinking from her steaming latte and receiving a scoff of Kasima's behalf.

"No strings? It's you and Jackson, there will always be strings. Nice try though."

She only rolled her eyes, as her friend had a great point but she hated being wrong so she didn't want to admit it. As she began to think about spending the morning with Jackson, she felt the urge to suddenly talk about it so she gave in and began to speak.

"He showed up last night," was all she said, avoiding her friend's smug expression as she took small sips from her cup.

"You bitch, I told you," Kasima spoke quite loudly, grinning at her who looked around in embarrassment.

"So when did he leave?" she said, smiling slyly as she propped her chin up on her palm.

"This morning," Willow grumbled defeatedly as she gave into the overwhelming emotion of everything that was happening in her life.

"Holy shit," was all she heard from her friend and she nodded in agreement.

She didn't know how she managed to juggle an old ex, who was more of a friend now, that still came around for entertainment when he was quite bored during the night. It was no secret to Kasima that Willow still felt something for Jackson but she knew her stubborn best friend wouldn't dare to admit it.

"Was it good?" Kasima questioned quietly, smiling behind her cup before receiving a wide eyed expression from Willow who then reached over to smack her on the arm a couple of times.

"Fine! Fine," Kasima laughed, cowering away from her hand, "it always is, isn't it?" she added before flinching once more.

"Whatever," she said, trying to hold back her smile, "I'm leaving. Have fun with Mark."

She stood from the table and retreated from Kasima who was not staring at her with an open mouth.

"What? How did you know?" her friend called out, and she only smiled over her shoulder at the surprised girl before leaving the small cafe.

The wind blew with enough pressure to send her dark hair over her shoulders and she took note of the clouds darkening above her as she quickly began to make her way home through the bustling streets to beat the rain. She sidewalks were crowded, something that she had became quite accustomed to, and she managed to make it home just as the precipitation began to sprinkle onto her head.

She shut the door behind her and she was greeted by silence. It was one thing that she had not gotten used to. Of all things that Jackson had given in her the time they had spent together, it was constant noise whether it was from talking, singing, shouting at a video game, or even jumping around for no absolute reason, she had always come in her house to immediately be greeted with noise. She could always hear Jackson before she saw him.
