This is just a story that I couldn't get out of my head. Also, you should know that in a lot of my DP fanfics, including this one, Danny considers a hyphenation of Fenton and Phantom to be his real last name, since both names are such a big part of his life that niether feel like aliases. Therefore, in his head and when introducing himself to people outside of Amity Park who would never know about either of his identities, he will be known as Daniel Fenton-Phantom.

Daniel John Fenton-Phantom stared at the wreckage of his home. They were dead. His family, his friends, everyone he had ever cared about. All gone in the wake of Plasmius' bomb. The fruitloop had done some pretty crazy things before, but Danny hadn't realized he was this close to the edge. And now, if he didn't do anything, Danny would be sent to live with the man who had murdered his family. Well he would not stand for it! He still had one person left, even if he had never met them.
His mom had told him after he'd read part of her diary while looking for some of her blueprints. She'd said that Jack Fenton wasn't Danny's real father. That one night, after a particularly disappointing failure with one of her pet projects, she had gone to a bar an had far too much to drink. She said that she met a man there, a handsome young ghost hunter who was leaving town the next day. She said that she'd made a mistake, and that man was Danny's father.
She didn't know much about him, only a name really, and when Danny looked him up online there wasn't any information on him, other than his birth certificate. So he must've been good at keeping on the down-low. There wasn't nearly enough information to track him down, but now Danny had no where else to go and he had far more resources. After all, what better way to find a ghost hunter than to ask the ghosts?
So he was going to find his birth father. He was going to find Dean Winchester.
