Chapter 9 - Its all gone wrong

Chapter 9

I breathed heavily as I sat up in bed. It was the weirdest dream but I didn’t pay attention to it. I woke up and it was 10am I was surprised I slept so long. My parents were at work and I was supposed to be at school. I didn’t think much about school I got out of bed and had a quick shower and put some clothes on.

I walked down stairs and had some breakfast. I looked at the beautiful white piano in the good lounge room. I hadn’t played in a while so I decided I’d try play again. I played the piano for a while singing and playing.

“Picture perfect memory scattered all around the floor, reaching for the phone cause I can’t fight it anymore and I wondered if I ever crossed your mind. For me it happens all the time. It’s a quarter after one I’m all alone and I need you now. Said I wouldn’t call but I lost all control and I need you now and I don’t know how I can do without, I just need you now. Another shot of whiskey can’t stop looking at the door, wish you’d come sweeping in like you did before.”

I stopped playing as tears filled my eyes. I hadn’t played in so long. I stopped playing when my brother started being horrible.

Beep... Beep

My phone started to ring and I calmed myself quickly so I could answer it.

“Hey Nicole are you okay?” Caroline seemed stressed as usual.

“I’m fine; I just slept in so I didn’t go.” She sighed and calmed down a little. After a while I hung up and decided I would go for a run. I ran for a while with my music playing through my earphones. I smiled as one of my favourite songs came on. I didn’t pay attention to where I was going and ran into this really buff and muscle guy who felt like a brick wall.

I pulled my headphones out. “I am so sorry I totally didn’t mean to...” He cut me off and smiled.

“Its fine I know you didn’t mean to.” He giggled and I felt my cheeks turn red. I smiled and went on running. “Hey my name is Chris by the way.”

 I turned back and smiled, “I’m Nicole.” I continued on. I ran and ran before I knew it I was in the same spot I was in, in my dream. I spun around and around looking at where I was. It was exactly the same I had no idea how I actually got here but I was worried. I walked in circles for around an hour. It started to get dark. I was a little scared but after a while I found my way out. It was a little weird that I ended up there but hey what can you do.

I got home and mum was freaking out and yelled at me and cried for a bit. After all that I went up to my room and looked up some stuff. It was weird around the time my brother started to change things started to happen and it was kind of freaky to me. I became close to Ezra and I had no idea he even wanted to talk to me.

Our families got closer and closer which was weird but my mum and dad were always best friends with Ezra’s we just never and I mean never got allow till now. I don’t know what my dream meant but it was weird.

Time flew by and it was around 10pm. I decided I would get off and go to bed early. I didn’t get a good sleep last night so I thought I would make it up by tonight’s sleep. I wasn’t tired not as much as I thought I was. I looked up in the dark room and watched my sealing form into different shapes and colours. I gradually fell asleep.

The meadow is always so peaceful.  I loved it out here; I was able to take photos and lie in the long green lush grass and watch all the sunflowers sway in the wind. It was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. I spent hours on end just laying there writing and taking photos. I was amazed at hour beautiful a place could be.

*End*

I woke up bright and early. It was 6:00 in the morning and I was not ready for school, for some reason my head was messing with me. I had a blazing headache and I kept hearing weird things. It was coming up to the last few days of school and everyone wanted to go out and party, but all I wanted to do was get away from these noises and get them out of my head.

I jumped out of bed and put on some tights, a singlet and a jumper. I grabbed my Iphone and headphones and headed out the door. Before I started running I noticed my dad, Ezra’s dad, Alex and the guy I meet yesterday, Chris. They were all talking it was kind of really weird. I had no idea why they were all talking so I made my way over. All of the boys but Chris had their backs to me so none of them saw me.. He smiled at me as I walked over.

“I don’t want my daughter apart of this.” My dad seemed pissed so I stayed hidden. I didn’t get what he meant by his daughter staying out of it meant but I wanted to know.

“You don’t have a choice, she’s already hearing things if we don’t help then she will just continue feeling the pain and eventually do it all on her own. Alex scrunched up his fist as Chris kept talking.” Just let her go she’ll find out sooner or later.” Chris tried to convince my dad. I decided I would go for my run I couldn’t listen anymore. ‘Have a nice run.’ I heard a strange voice in my head. I ran till about 7:00 in the morning. After my run I went home and had a quick shower and got ready for school. I really didn’t want to go but I decided it would be best if I do. I know if I didn’t Caroline would be down my throat.

When I arrived my brother was arguing with a new kid and Ezra. I went to go over but Ezra gave me a death glare and shooed me away with his hands.

“Stay out of it Ezra it’s got nothing to do with you.” My brother pushed Ezra has he yelled in his face.

“Yes it damn well does you peace of shit I’m part of it all two so don’t even think about shutting me out.” Ezra yelled back and pushed just as hard. I giggled as the new kid started to sneak away. Ezra and Alex both yelled at the same time, “YOU AREN’T GOING ANYWHERE!” the new kid shivered at the raw of their voices.

All of a sudden a shock of pain went through my body and head. I couldn’t hold back the screams they escaped my mouth. “AGHHH!” I feel to the floor with tears in my eyes.

“Nicole!” Caroline bolted over to me.

‘You know what sis you disserved this!’ I heard a voice much like my brothers go through my head and then I realised my brother’s concentration on me.

“I’m fine Caroline,” I didn’t mean to yell but I couldn’t help it. “I’m sorry.” I got up and fan for it. I left my car were it was and just ran. I ran to exactly where I thought I knew I would. I stood there leaning against the tree just thinking about everything.

All of a sudden I heard footsteps surrounding me. They came from everywhere. All of a sudden out of nowhere my brother, Ezra, Shelly, Michael and a few others showed up.

“Hey sister, how are you?” He chuckled and I tried walking back but ran into the tree.

“Hey babe, guess what?” Ezra walked over to Shelly and started making out and touching her.. My heart shattered. They all laughed and I turned and ran for it.

“Bye ugly.” I stopped and turned around with tears streaming down my face. “Yes you Nicole don’t ever think you’d ever get him. He may be your mate but he’s mine now.” She winked at me. “Oh and one last thing, you will never be pretty don’t ever think we liked you.” More tears streamed down my face and I could hold on any longer I ran and ran.
