• Chapter 3: I Encounter An Unlikely Battle •
As I picked up the belongings, everything that just happened replayed in my head, like a tv show. Watching my parents lie on the floor dead, fighting the hunters, and being thrown again the window as if I was a rag-doll. One thing I remembered as clear as transparent material burned in me the most " They are gonna come for him when they figure how how powerful he is gonna get". My dad had said that right before they died. Who are "they"? Are they the hunters? Are they trying to kill me? All of this going through my head at once. I had to block it all out if I was going to train and build strength. I blocked it out and ran into the woods knowing I'll never come to this town.
While I was in the woods walking, I noticed I was getting hungry and thirsty. I grabbed my water canister and quenched my thirst, but my hunger was still in the present. I wanted to make a campsite where I could sleep and eat for the night, but I was still to close to home, I had to keep walking another three to four miles. I kept walking, at some times jogging, at others running although I was getting dreary. I felt like someone was watching me as I traveled. I know nobody was because I would've sensed it being half dog and all. This was different though it was like a presence more than a being. I ignored it though, I decided I would run one more mile , than I could set up camp, eat, strategize , sleep, then keep moving in the morning. When I got to the environment I wanted to stop in, I gathered fire wood, heat it up and sat by the fire while some chicken roasted. While it was cooking, I set up my tent and wrote in my battle journal. My battle journal was a medium-travel size notebook I had for quite some-while that I took everywhere. I wrote strategies and Villains I encountered. What I didn't know is that another Villain was about to be encountered.
I wrote in my Battle Journal and went to probe the food to see if it was ready...which it was. I had chicken with a slice of pumpkin pie for desert. Just when I was retire for the day and fall asleep, I heard something. It was footsteps...a lot of them. I was instantly ready to snap anyone's neck, knowing it was a human. I assumed wrong, there were 15 wolves with red and yellow eyes and black fur. I waited to see if they would attack. Then, it happened again! My hair got darker , so did my eyes. I was the freak I was when I got out the shower. This was even more different! My hair turned black and spiked up and my eyes were dried blood red. Why does this always happen? I began packing my things slowly when the I believe owner came out from behind a tree. He was about the same age as me; 16. " Who are you?" I demanded loudly. "I am no other than Denias, Denias Wright". " What are you doing here? How did you find me?" I asked. " I was you scavenging the forest and thought I would drop by for a visit" he replied. He was dark skinned with black hair and looked pretty cool.
