Forever Better

Chapter 2

"Cmon Miley think!" I tapped my fingers rapidly on the keyboard to the computer searching up any leads to finding my little girl. It was 9 in the morning, the earliest I ever woke up in months, I haven't brushed my teeth and my hair was all messed up pointing in all different ways.

I knew I was getting somewhere but I felt as if I was getting nowhere. When I get a lead I start to follow it then it lands me back to where I just started.

After a few days it just keeps me on the same person Selena's alibi, Gigi Hadid. But I have know idea where to locate her. I try to search up more background things about her like where she's from, what she does for a living, and her alibi's.

As I type I hear ruffling in the sheets behind me, I turn around quickly and see Jason rolling around uncomfortably in the bed. "He's probably just having a bad dream" I say to myself.

I return back to my typing and find pictures of Gigi. She's a very pretty girl nice body figure and she looks a little foreign. I look around the page for any clues or hints. "Looks like she has been arrested." I mumble looking at a mug shot of her smiling slightly.

"Gigi..." I wrinkle up my face surprised because I didn't say that. I turn around seeing Jason still sleeping and smiling a little in his deep sleep. Why would he say her name? Does he know her?

I get back to typing confusingly not bothering to wake up Jason at all.

"Miley I found some leads!" Taylor joins me at the kitchen table excitedly spreading some unorganized papers across the table.

"Where do I start?" I ask glancing at all of the papers at a time. "Well obviously right here." She points to the picture of Selena with some clues under her picture. "So number one, she kidnapped your kid, number two she was spotted lurking around Canada and the Washington area, number three she is not alone she has alibis all over the country including this city."

I nodded my head slightly and sipped my coffee quietly we were at least getting somewhere. "What else you got." She smiled and proceeded on to the next profile. Next we have Alice Carpenter she is Selena's assistant she does some of the dirty work but does travel with Selena that much and I don't think she traveled with Selena and the baby.

"Where do you think this Alice lady is now?" I asked suspiciously. " My instinct tells me Sacramento." She shrugs.

"All right the next profile is Selena's right hand man, or should I say woman, Katherine Kennedy. She is like Selena's partner but they do not like to share the spotlight, I don't know why because that's what a partnership the ship is for, you know?"

"Yeah but I have never seen this Katherine Kennedy before and I have known Selena for years."

"Let's just say she likes to hide in the dark." Taylor shrugged unfittingly. All the information I was getting was overwhelming but really wanted. Now I don't really know where to start with these profiles.

"Hey baby." I turned around not even acknowledging Jason was behind me and gave him a fake smile. He leaned in for a kiss on the lips and I backed away gently. "I didn't brush my teeth." I said lying. He shrugged " I'll take that risk." He leaned in and kissed me on the lips and I didn't kiss back.

He scrunched up his face weirdly and went to go talk to the boys. "What was that about? " Taylor gave me a weird look. "What?" I said as if I had no idea what she was talking about.

"Is there something going on between you and Jason because if there is you can tell me, I am your best friend Miley."

"No there is nothing going on, it's just this morning I heard Jason say this girls name Gigi, one of Selena's alibis." As soon as I said Gigi's name Taylor looked through the papers that were extended across the table.

After she finished digging she pulled out a paper that had Gigi's face on it. "Is this her?" Taylor questioned. "Yeah definitely." I bit my lip in concern.

"Why would he say her name in his sleep?" I asked her. Taylor shook her head violently, " I have no clue, even though she is gorgeous maybe something went down between them, you'll never know unless you ask him."

"Well on the bright side we have leads! Fucking leads for gods sake!" Taylor shouted causing the whole house to look at her. "I know I know but I'm afraid it's going to land is back to where we were." I said disappointingly.
