The GMCA; Genetically Modified Children's Academy. In about the 1950's, children all around the world were found sick or in a near death state. People took it upon themselves to save these children. The children were sent to the CIA to be healed by genetic modification, and sent back to a facility named the GMCA, where they were trained to conceal and control their new modification at will. The children were given abilities such as enhanced eco-location, teleportation, and anti-gravity capabilities. This academy was strongly funded by the CIA, where they took the strongest from the academy and used them for top secret missions... But, in the 1980's, the experiments were being discovered by journalists and news reporters because the "weaker" GMCs (genetically modified children) were released in the real world when they graduated from the GMCA. The CIA told the GMCA to stop releasing these children out into the real world. The CIA did their best to kept low profile about these people, so the controls were handed over to the instructors living at the GMCA. Until about a year ago...
This is the story of three of the GMCA's students: Cas Kapor, Nikki Myst, and Tye Steller.
Cas, a 16 year old female experiment with wings and the ability to shape shift. She is 5'3" with shoulder length brown hair, and eyes blood red. Cas typically wears her hair in a messy bun while training, and leaves her hair down all other times. She is brave, outgoing, physically, and mentally strong. She always wears a pair of sunglasses to cover her unusual colored eyes because they are "embarrassing" to her. Cas wears sweatpants and hoodies when she's not in the academy uniform so she can hide her white angel-like wings. She hid them because she liked to feel "normal". She was brought into the academy at age 7 due to her town being bombed in 2009. Since her spine was severely damaged, the academy gave her wings in hope it would help repair her, and shape shifting to hide herself from possible threats due to her severe anxiety when she first came to the GMCA. She has a wingspan of 8 feet, and can shape shift into anything.
Nikki is a teleporting, anti-gravity utilizing mutant. Like Cas, she is 16 and 5'1", and is extremely lean and flexible. She has long brown hair which she typically wears in a ponytail to keep it out of her face, and she has eyes that are half blue/half purple (due to her mutation). She wears goggles when she is utilizing her abilities to prevent things from falling in her eyes. She always wear shorts and a long sleeve blue shirt, which allows her body to move swifter. She is pretty clumsy and outgoing, and a problem solver. She focuses more on mentality than her strength .Kidnapped as a kid, Nikki was recovered by a military base at the age of nine. Severely injured, she was sent to the GMCA for salvage, and out of fear of being captured again, requested another ability. She was given that ability, thus known as teleportation. Just in case of malfunction (because teleportation was fairly new), they gave her anti gravity to keep her in control.
And finally, Tye. He's only fourteen, and has the powers of eco-location and superspeed. The only thing... He's 90% blind. Tye is very shy, due to his his past of abuse, but has become one of the best leaders at the GMCA. He is quite lean, and stays that way so can travel faster using his super-speed ( he says he goes faster without all the muscle weight). Brought in at the young age of four, he was found wandering the desert, mostly blinded by what seemed to be an acid-like substance. When they searched for his parents, it was later found out that he had been abandoned because his parents did not want him anymore, and couldn't support the child. Not being able to care for himself, the government admitted him to the GMCA. In hopes he would recover, they were able to enhance his hearing, and teach him eco-location because they couldn't help with the damage in his eyes. Wanting to try another new technology, they tested super-speed on Tye. It was a success, and he has been able to utilize his abilities at such a remarkable rate that the GMCA granted that he could graduate at age 15 instead at 16.
