It was an eight hour drive from Kansas City, to our new house in Summersville, Missouri. There were a couple upsides to moving to a new town, you can start a new life, and start over, meet new friends, and have new adventures. This new town could be the best thing in my life, but it could also be the worst thing in my life. Although I did have to leave my friends in Kansas city, there is always a chance to meet some new people.Maybe moving to a new town wont be as bad as i think it will be.
We finally passed a sign that had said Welcome to Summersville.
"Welcome to Summersville!" My dad said with a lot of enthusiasm
"Yay....." I replied sarcastically.
"Come on Grace cheer up. I know you had to leave your friends, but you can meet some new people. I heard that the people here are really nice. Maybe you'll meet someone" my dad said to me as he winked.
"Oh my gosh Dad, but hey the same goes for you. Maybe you'll meet someone" I replied to my dad as i winked back.
"Haha sure"
"Hey Dad, I think you'll meet someone great, and be happy, and no matter what i'll be happy for you."
"Thank you Sweetie"
"No problem dad"
We drove for a couple more minutes in silence.
"Okay, we are here.", my dad said.
