CHAPTER EIGHT

====MCKENZIE====

i blush as Adrien pulls up my cloak to put the boots on me, but i take the boots from him and put them on myself, not wanting him to feel like he must treat me like the royal queen or anything. 

i find it very odd that i blush. i have never actually blushed before. strange, i know. but for some reason, Adrien is making me blush uncontrollably. not that im complaining about it. hehe...

i look at Sebastian and he winks at me. i dont know why right away. then i notice how Adrien is looking at me...okay well when i say "the way Adrien is looking at me" is by how his face is directly towards me and the expression on his face. thats what i mean since his eyes are covered by his hair. i know what his eyes look like. its quite obvious. he is a grim reaper and all grim reapers have amazing green eyes. i dont know for sure if Adrien wears glasses. i dont think he does, and i dont know why he doesnt. glasses are VERY important to grim reapers. i didnt want to bring it up, since how i just got to this "world" and dont know much.

====UNDERTAKER====

it has been a week since i brought Mikki to my time. she seems to be enjoying it quite a bit. i love seeing her so happy. i dont know why i do. i just do...SHUT UP IT ISNT WIERD! SHHHH!

anyway, ever since Sebastian told me about Mikki's feelings for me, i started to watch her more closely. ever since i met her, i have been very interested in her, but now it seems different. i have never felt this way...GOWD DAMMIT WHAT IS HAPPENING TO ME!?

i knock on Mikki's door and i get no answer. then i hear the water running. "young lady Mikki must be bathing! heheheheh!" i say to myself out loud. i go into the main room and sit on a comfortable chair and pick up one of the 5000 books that the Earl of Phantomhive gave to me, since he was running out of room in his library. anyway, i pick one up and start skipping throught the pages. i go book after book, not finding one that im in the mood to read. i soon find a black one with green roses on it. i thought it would look girly, but it actually didnt. it really caught my eye! i flip open to the first page. there is no title. it just says "Chapter I". i read it. i soon become lost in the book.

the mysterious book i am reading is about a young girl who doesnt physically age by years, but by centuries...longer than that. she looks as if she is at the age of 18 at this time in the beginning of the book. she cant die easily. she reminds me of a demon. or a reaper. but she is simply a strange woman. she falls in love with a man. she is running out of time to tell him about her feelings towards him. she must hurry because her father is looking for her. she ran off to find someone who loves her with all his heart. she runs into a man while she is on the run. he is 22. they talk a lot and she soon starts to fall in love with him. time is running out for her. if she doesnt find a life love soon, her father will literally end her. she is old yet young and should have a lover by now. she is supposed to die if she is single up to a certain age. but in order for her to die, she must be found. she ran off and never turned back.

suddenly, i hear a creak of a floorboard and turn around to see Mikki, wearing her shorts and t-shirt just like she was wearing on the day i met her. she looked amazing. lucky for me, i could turn my head slightly and stare at her without her knowing. THANK YOU LONG HAIR COVERING MY EYES! HEHEHEHEH! 

Mikki pulls up a chair next to me and looks through the books. she opens up to the middle of one, scans the page, then looks at the other books the same way, until she found one she liked i guess. she picked up a crimson colored book, opens to the middle, scans the page, and flips to the beginning. 

"what on earth are you doing?" i ask, looking at her. "this is how i find books. its weird, i know, but there is no point reading a book, waiting for a good part, then nothing happening. i simply scan the middle pages, then if it seems interesting, i go to the beginning and start reading it. hehe" Mikki says with a giggle. i smile at her small giggle. i mark the page i stopped at and put the book i was reading in one of the inner pockets of my cloak.
