Journey 2: Inside a Brownie
In the morning, after breakfast, my love and I were magically transported into a brownie that was either very big, or was avaradge size and we simply shrunk. Inside was moist and soft, and we must have been close to the surface for daylight, turned brown from filtering through the brownie, gave a soft glow to everything. The inside of the brownie was like a cavern, with passages going off in every direction, some ending in dead ends. Moist stalactites hung from the ceiling and soft stalagmites grew up from the floor. We entered the maze of passages fearlessly, for we knew that as long as there was a brownish glow coming from the ceiling, we could at any time eat our way out to the world above. If we became tired, we would rest on the chunks of white, dark, and milk chocolate that were scattered throughout the passages like stones in a cavern. If we grew hungry, we would stop and munch on brownie. If we grew thirsty, we would stoop and drink from any one of the numerous milk lakes strewn about those strange caves. As the day wore on, we grew tired of the brownie caverns, and decided to eat our way to the surface, the light was the brightest in this particular spot as our explorations had shown, so we reasoned that we must be nearest the surface here. It was a matter of five minutes before we had broken through the upper crust of the brownie. The hole was big enough for us to pull ourselves up through and, when we had done so, we found that we were at the bottom of a sort of brownie valley, which was surrounded by brownie hills, making it impossible to see what things looked like outside the valley. We climbed the tallest of those hills and looked, for an instant, at what seemed to be another world. There were giant brownies everywhere, and they seemed to be floating in a great lake of milk. It was all deathly still, but that was all we were able to observe, for only seconds after we mounted the ridge of brownie, my love and I found ourselves back in the kitchen of a house on fairyville road on the world of earth.
