Love At First Sight

Chapter 3

Nico’s pow
I actually had an amazing time in the infirmary and all thanks to Will. When we talked I felt happier and I was dreading the day when I needed to leave. I didn’t want to stop talking to him. He made  me feel all this unusual feelings and I would blush every time our hands accidentally touched.
It was amazing to talk to someone and smile and laugh wholeheartedly after so much pain and Sadness. I actually plan on telling him everything what’s been going on in my head if we continue talking. He makes me feel safe and I think I can trust him. He makes me want to cahnge myself and actually start being positive about life and let go of all the grudges and hate I’ve been holding inside.
Two days passed really quickly and I was packing my stuff and was about to leave. My back had healed almost totally and it only hurt when I moved very quickly.

Nico wait-I heard Will say behind me.

Here, this is my number. Call me anytime you want, I would like to keep talking to you- he smiled and gave me a small paper.

I gladly took it and smiled back at him.

Days passed and I haven’t seen Will since I left the infirmary and I missed him. I didn’t want to call immediately cause I didn’t want to be pushy and seem desperate. I waited 3 days and I couldn’t wait anymore I had feeling I was going crazy.
As soon as I hit call and waited a second he picked up.

Hey-I say.

Hey Nico-he seemed out of breath-
I can call later if this is not a good time.

No, no. It’s ok, just a break from training- his breath slowly steadied.

Well, I wanted to ask you if you’d like to meet and chat again- I slowly and insecurely say.

I would love to. How about today at 5 by the river- you could hear him smiling.

Perfect. See you then. Bye- I hung up.

Will’s pow
From the moment he hung up I couldn’t wait to meet him. All day long he was on my mind and what would happen when we met first time out of the infirmary. 10 minutes before I had to go and meet him there was a camper rushed into my part of the infirmary and he was in critical condition. He had burns al over him for a drill that went badly. I was healing him for 30 minutes and then waited 10 minutes to see if he was getting better. As soon as he was stabilized I put him on the watch of one of my siblings and ran to meet Nico. He was just about to get up from our meeting spot when he saw me.

I am so sorry for being late. I had an emergency, one of the campers had 3 degree burns and I needed to help him as fast as possible- I talked fast and out of breath and he just watched me.

I was scared that he would hate me because of this but then he did the most unexpected thing.

He kissed me. And as soon as it happened it disappeared. Once he pulled apart he Shadow traveled without a word leaving me speechless.
