"I was expecting a more lively welcome. Ya'know jumping on my back or hugging the death out of me." Joked Josh
"Well that Maya has grown up," replied Maya, letting out a laugh "One year can change so many things" continued Maya while looking at Lucas
"I'm intrigued" smirked Josh, while jokingly rubbing Maya's head
Lucas looked at both of them, feeling weird in the stomach.
"Hey uncle josh, it's been a while" said Riley, opening her arms for a hug
"How have you been favorite niece?" Said josh while hugging Riley
"You don't exactly have a choice. I'm the only niece you have" Riley let out a little laugh
Even though Josh was back, Maya was still distracted. She just couldn't stop thinking about it; about everything
Josh noticed something was wrong. Maya wasn't as happy as he thought she would be. He felt kind of disappointed— weird.
"Hey you okay?" Josh asked worried, placing his hand on Maya's shoulder
"Yeah just a lot on my plate right now. I'll talk to you later" smiled Maya
Josh nodded.
Maya left Java Jones and went straight home
