May 2nd, 1828, Italy.

"Arandella, Ruben. She is beautiful. What shall you name her?" The elders eyes glistened at the newest pure blood, knowing who she would be. "Her name shall be Gwendolyn Elise. and she shall be the alpha queen one day."

"It is uncommon for a women to be alpha. Strange that you had a girl before a young man." Elder Ana knew how the others would feel under a woman's rule. Even if she would grow to be the strongest pure blood the world would come to know, of course this was only elder knowledge and they could not intervene with her life in anyway. She had to make her own path, and chose her own destiny.

"Ruben.." Arandella looked at him with soft eyes, "Do you want to hold her?" Ruben took the little girl, Gwendolyn, and with one look. He knew she would be great, even if he wouldn't live to see her rule.

May 2nd, 1846, Gwendolyns 18th birthday.

"Is that all you have young Solomon?" I laughed as he fell again, trying to catch me.

"You could not let me win once? Of course not, it is indeed your birthday." Solomon pulled a present from his pocket. "Oh, Solomon you did not have to bring me lavish gifts, letting me win is plenty on my birthday."

He reveled a bracelet that had a wolf howling on it, "It is gorgeous and I shall keep it close to my heart for as long as I shall live."

"Gwendolyn! Solomon! You two need to get ready for your celebration." Mother spoke so sweetly, but stern enough for us to listen.

I came to the house, and went to the stairs, lots of young women surrounded me. Pulling on my hair, and tightening the corset for my dress. Knowing the colors would make my gold eyes glow. I knew I would be this age for a very long time, when the Goddess sees fit that my mate be born. I wondered how long would pass before I would age again. How many centuries, and how many new things would come and go before I would finally have love.

My family always thought Solomon would be my mate, we were as thick as thieves. But at last, he was not. We were just friends, and that bond would last.

The gathering was beautiful and we celebrated by tons of dancing, and music. Laughing into hours of the morning. Elders were there, and so were all the packs, yet my mate was nowhere to be found. I knew this meant many centuries would come, and many accomplishments would happen before I could meet this man.
