Show Me Off - Xenissi

Three

Jenissi was lounging down by the pool with A-Tom by his side.

"Hyung, where's your roommate?" A-Tom asked Jenissi without looking at him.

"Mm, I don't know. He was acting strange this morning so I left him by himself." Jenissi replied, stretching out on the long chair and ruffling his hair. For once he wasn't wearing a hat, but he had his glasses on since he was too lazy to slide his contacts on.

"What do you mean by strange?" A-Tom asked him. Jenissi just shrugged. He didn't know how to describe it. The way Xero groaned in his sleep. The way he literally almost slipped in fell dashing from the bed to the bathroom. The rustling noises he made in there, like he was refraining from punching a wall.

"Xero-ssi!" Jenissi heard. He and A-Tom both on cue lifted their heads to look. Xero was wearing his favorite white trunks. But Jenissi noticed something. It was his shirt. The shirt look just a little big on the tall guy.

That's because it was Jenissi's shirt.

What the hell?

"Hyung, isn't that your-"

"Sshh!" Jenissi shushed him quietly. "Just observe." A-Tom didn't say anything as they watched Xero timidly walk. He looked almost shook up but he was obviously trying to hide it.

"Hyung, come on!" Yano said to him from inside the water. Xero rolled his eyes as he crossed over to the shallow end of the pool, causing him to pass the two currently bird-watching.

"Good morning Hyung." Xero said when he caught Jenissi's eye, barely able to hold the contact.

That's when Jenissi took the chance. "Xero, did you see which shirt you picked up this morning?"

Xero gave him a confused look as he slowly looked down at his attire. Indeed, it was Jen's black shirt with white marble. Jenissi could see the red slowly starting to creep up on the male's neck.

"I'm sorry, Hyung! I can take it off if you'd like. I'm about to get in the pool." Xero said, his words shaking at mentioning taking his shirt off. Xero had crossed his legs and kept looking down at the ground.

Jenissi felt a strange sensation. Looking at Xero's nervousness was making him feel weird. He wasn't mad at his dongsaeng's mistake. He felt almost delighted.

"No, Xero-Ssi, you can wear it while swimming if you'd like." Jenissi said leaning back in his chair.

Xero bowed before timidly and quickly walking off.

"I see what you mean Hyung." A-Tom laughed to himself. "He looks like he's frustrated about something, like he's about to pop."

That's when Hojoon and P-Goon's words filled Jenissi's mind again.

"It's not that he doesn't like you." Hojoon said. "He's just.... Frustrated. Maybe you should try being nice to him."

Jenissi thought about it as he watched the younger from afar. Well, does it count as being nice that he let Xero wear his shirt in the pool?

Xero had gotten in the pool with a couple of the others; Sangdo, B-Joo, and Nakta, the athletic ones as they splashed and joked around. Xero dipped beneath the water to cool off and came back up shaking his hair like a dog.

Jenissi laughed and immediately felt weirded out again from it. Xero stretched up and ruffled his hair. He had a bright smile once again. He didn't look uncomfortable or mad anymore. He waddled to the side of the pool and grabbed the hem of his shirt. He quickly lifted the wet and clingy fabric up and over his body before setting it at the side of the pool.

Jenissi suddenly felt really... Sick almost.
He felt dizzy and couldn't stop looking. What was this? He clutched his chest and looked away from the younger. He remembered being disgusted just looking at his dongsaeng. But this hurt in his chest from seeing Xero's bare chest wasn't disgust. It definitely wasn't disgust he felt seeing him swim, and flex as he splashed the others.

But it was disgust to see him having so much fun with the others and clinging onto B-Joo so persistently.

"I'll be back A-Tom." Jenissi said quietly before leaving the pool court.
