After he got in we eased into a comfortable silence with the radio on. Then one of my all time favorite songs came on, "A Drop In the Ocean" by Ron Paul. I began to sing the chorus:

A drop in the ocean

A change in the weather

I was praying that you and me might end up together

It's like wishing for the rain as I stand in the desert

But I'm holding you closer than most

Cause you are my Heaven

"You have an amazing voice" Liam said, the awe evident on his face. Oops, I hadn't even realized I was singing that loud. "Why didn't you say you could sing?" he asked me. "You never asked" I replied trying to act aloof. "But your good. Most people who are good want the world to know their good" he was lumping me together with the rest of the world. "Yes, but since when am I most people?" Why was I so sassy today? "Toche" he said laughing.

"So...where are we going?" The curiosity was killing me. "It's a secret, but trust me, we won't be bothered by fans."

We pulled up to a fancy rest errant called Brio, where a valet came and got his car. The hostess brought us to the roof. "Your not afraid of heights, right?" he asked me worriedly. "No, actually, the higher I get, the better I feel. I'm a total thrill seeker."he had a surprised look on his face. "Really? I wouldn't take you for a dare devil." I think he was challenging me...oh well, I would just have to challenge him back.

"Yes Mr. Payne, but you must remember that we don't know each other as well as you may like to think. There are many things you don't know about me. for instance, I have a younger sister whose name is Kallie. She is also a vet student at Auburn University in her freshman year, where she is the kicker on the football team, captain of the soccer team, and an all-star track runner. She puts Husain Bolt to shame. My mom is the high school youth director at our church, my dad is a computer programmer at a building right across the street from here." I inhaled deeply after that sentence paragraph thing. "Sorry about that. didn't mean to unload all that stuff, it's just I'm proud of my sister and haven't seen her since she left for training a month ago and I miss her. Really badly." What had gotten into me? I never told anyone that much about me before. At least, not that quickly.

"It's ok, I understand. I miss my family and England like crazy" he told me. "Yes, the only difference being you haven't seen them in what? Five months? Oh, and their on a different continent." I sassed with a smirk on my face. "I was trying to make you feel better, but I guess your right."

We spent over three hours in conversation at Brio. When we got to his car he checked his phone, looked at me and grimaced. "What?" I asked him curiosity burning in my eyes. "They guys want me to bring you by the hotel for some reason. You don't have to go." He added quickly. "No, I would love to go." I replied thinking about what Giselle and Kanika would say when I got back. "Ok, but don't get out right away." That was odd. I mean, he was a total gentleman and would help me out, but why did he sound so...worried?
