Volume 1, Chapter 2: The Shining Beacon

LEAVING THE PLANE LANDING AT BEACON ACADEMY

"Oh my god is he really that motion sick?" Jessie asked as Ike,Yang,Ruby, and himself walked passed vomit boy who was still puking in a nearby garbage can. "Aren't you motion sick too?" Ruby asked him. "Yeah, but not that badly......trust me I've been struggling to hold it in." Jessie replied with a small smile as Ruby just looked at him and giggled.

"Well here we are at Beacon Academy finally,"Ike stated in an enthusiastic like manner. "Yep! And as long as I have you I'll be fine!" Jessie smiled cheerfully at his brother. "Yeah about that-"He was interrupted by Ruby's fan girl screams as she floated and buzzed about staring at the students weapons in awe.

Yang grabbed Ruby and brought her back down to earth. "Calm down little sis they're just weapon." She said to her younger sister. "JUST WEAPONS!? THEIR AN EXTENSION OF OURSELVES! THEY ARE WHAT MAKE US WHO WE ARE!" Ruby practically screamed back at her sister.

"Well why can't you swoon over your own weapon aren't you happy with it?" Ruby equipped her weapon so cleverly named Crescent Rose.

Of course I love Crescent Rose it's just that I like seeing new ones it's like meeting new people....but better."
Ruby said hanging her head at the last part. "I know what you mean." Jessie added as he just stared blankly ahead. "Com'on guys why don't you try to make some new friends." Yang tried to push. "But why would we have to make new friends when we have you guys?" Ruby asked with a small smile.

"Yeah about that......Ike our friends are here time to go see ya catch you guys later!" Yang said at mach 20 speeds grabbing Ike and leaving with a group of other students almost as fast as she was speaking. Jessie just stared with wide eyes and blinked uncontrollably.

Ruby with an almost similar reaction except she didn't blink nearly as much. "Well that was........actually kinda bogus." Jessie stated flatly. "I know how could they just leave us like that!?" Ruby pouted flailing her arms around for more emphasis on her pouty mood. "Well at least we still have each other." Jessie shrugged and patted her shoulder.

"Yeah I guess your right." Ruby stopped pouting and started dragging him forward. "Well we're not gonna find Ike and Yang standing around its time to make our move and-AHH!"

Ruby yelped as she fell to the ground after bumping into some girl in a white battle skirt. The girl dropped some dust and Jessie went to grab for and apologize but,"Don't touch that!" The girl screamed at Jessie smacking his hand from the tube of dust. "

"Hey! Calm down he was only trying to help you!" Ruby snapped at the girl. "Well if you weren't so darn clumsy and watched where you were going he wouldn't have had to help me!" The girl snapped back. "This stuff is extremely dangerous and if someone were to get ahold of it I'm not responsible for what happens." The girl lectures them.

From the corner of his eye Jessie sees Ruby picking up one of the tubes and handing it back. "Gimme that!" The girl snatched it from Ruby causing the top to fall and some dust to spread in Ruby's face. "ACHOO!" Ruby sneezed and her face exploded sending all them flying back. "I'm so sorry." Ruby apologized. 

Jessie reached to pick up Ruby and smiled at her and laughed a little. He muttered something along the lines of,"Crater Face." The girl than began to grow even more furious at the crater in front of the school and the fact that Ruby just exploded and metals killed them all. "You idiot! I said not to touch it because I knew this sort of thing would happen!" She yelled.

Just as Jessie was about to say something when some girl in a black and white outfit with black long boots and a black bow in her head decided to join in the conversation.

"Well who do we have here could it be a Schnee? Of the Schnee dust selling company only the most popular in all of Veil?" She stated with a smug face on. "Finally some recognition around here." The other girl, whose named for the moment is Ms.Schnee, stated smugly with a arrogant look on her face.

"Yeah your family company also has some quite shady and questionable business partners." The other girl stated confident she had triggered Ms.Schnee. She gasped as she angrily replied matter-of-factly with,"How dare you say such things about my family and our business we don't have any "shady" business dealers we only do business with those of high standards."

The girl in the black only stared at her with a funny look on her face almost to say as if she isn't buying it. The girl in the white battle skirt just stomped away with her tubes of dust in a hissy fit and the other girl just walked away calmly with an aura of a winner surrounding her. "Wait!" Ruby called after the girl with the black bow.

After seeing her walk off Ruby just dropped to her knees with a large sigh. Vomit boy then showed up and greeted the two teens,"What happened to you two?" He asked. The two fifteen year old teens just looked at each other and Jessie just laughed and said,"The struggle that's what happened." As he helped Ruby up.

"Ummm I'm not sure how to take that?" The boy said with a confused smile plasters on his face. "Hey so what's your name anyway pal?" Jessie asked starting to get just a little more comfortable around the vomit boy. "Oh my name is Juane. Juane Arc." He said with a friendly smile.

"Well my name is Jessie Jasmine and this is my long taken close friend Ruby Rose." Jessie stated as he smiled and Ruby just waved at Jaune. "Well this is nice and all but shouldn't we head to the gymnasium?" Ruby asked. "Yeah com'on Juane you can come with us." Jessie told him as he gave a follow me motion.

In the short time they had been talking to Juane they had grown to become friends and they had gotten comfortable around each other. All of sudden Ike and Yang's advice hasn't seemed so bad. They hadn't been getting special treatment either so that was a plus in their book too. "All I'm saying is I don't think motion sickness is all that you guys make it seem." Ruby with a shrug of her shoulders.

"And all we're saying is that motion sickness can be like the worst physical pain EVER." Jessie replied. " Hey so what weapon do you guys use?" Juane asked Jessie and Ruby. "Well I use my lovely Crescent Rose which is like a scythe and a sniper rifle in one see?" Ruby stated equipping Crescent Rose and changing its forms for demonstration.

"Yeah and I use Cursed Jasmine she can transform from a gigantic sword into a 1 pump shotgun with dust ammunition just like Ruby's." Jessie said with pride as he equipped Cursed Jasmine just to show it off and even swinging it around a little."Wait did you just call your weapon a she?" Ruby asked. "Yup she's my little angel." Jessie replied.

"Okay makes sense.......I guess."Ruby said in understanding. "So what weapon do you use Jaune?" Jessie asked. "Oh well I use a Sword and Shield." He said not to spectacularly. "Well what does it do?" Ruby asked. "The shield contracts so if I don't wanna carry it I can put it in my pocket." He said somewhat proud.

"Won't it weigh the same though?" Jessie asked. "Yeah it does." Juane stated dejectedly. "Well I like it some people don't appreciate the classics these days." Ruby said cheerfully. "Yeah. Right." Juane said still dejected. "Hey so does anyone know where we're going?" Jessie asked.

"I was just following Jessie." Jaune said with a nervous tone. "Well of course I know where I'm going?" Jessie said/questioned himself. "You have no idea do you?" Ruby asked him with a look of playfulness

"Nope." Jessie replied with a smile. Ruby punched him in the arm lightly,"Why didn't you say so earlier you big idiot?" She asked him playfully. "Don't know I thought if we walked long enough we'd find it." He replied with a small smile. "Well he might've been right too." Juane said pointing at the building. "Lucky you." Ruby said smirking at Jessie. "I do have a streak of luck in me. "Jessie replied with a big grin." Ruby just giggled and walked into the building as Jessie and Juane followed her.
