I said waking up in Olivers bed was the worst thing that could happen, and of course, with my luck, the next morning when we were woken up, I was lying really close to something warm. I turned to my other side to see what was behind my back, and of course, it was Oliver and I closed my eyes and let out a long but soft groan. If there was someone up there deciding who would always be lucky and whose life would always suck, I was quite positive I was the latter. While I was opening my eyes I heard some noises coming from right in front of me and I quickly shifted back to my own part of the bed. Oliver immediately opened his eyes and stared in mine and I looked away. I couldn't really deal with people staring in my eyes. He stretched his arms towards me and brushed a lock of hair out of my face.
This made me feel a little uncomfortable, I still didn't know him and I apparently spent the night cuddled up next to him.
"We should probably get up" I said softly and sat up straight and looked for my normal clothes. As soon as I found them and took them with me to the bathroom which was a little walk from the tent. As soon as I was changed, I walked back to the tent and packed all of my stuff. Not long after that, someone yelled from outside our tent that we were leaving in half an hour, and that we should have gathered all our stuff, and be ready before that. I was almost finished, I just needed to have breakfast somewhere and brush my teeth, but apart from that I was dressed and everything. My suitcase was completely packed, since I barely unpacked anything last night.
When I saw our tent-mates Natasja and Zack, I said good morning to them and left the tent again for breakfast. When I got there, I saw there were only a few spots left, two next to Oliver and one somewhere else. I didn't really have anything against Oliver and he was the only person in this room that I knew, so I decided to sit next to him. After deciding this I got my breakfast and sat down, saying good morning to him.The weird thing was, he was not at all my type, but I still thought of him as kind of cute. I usually liked guys with blond hair, happy coloured clothing and other things that made them look happy.
Oliver, on the contrary, was completely dressed in black, had some tattoos that didn't look too happy, he was wearing long sleeves even though it was quite warm, his hair was black, his eyes were kind of dark. He was someone I would've completely ignored a few months ago. But he seemed nice, a little weird maybe, not very talkative, but nice anyways.I decided to shrug it off for now and start eating my breakfast. Oliver had said good morning back by now. I smiled at him and looked around after finishing, seeing he still had some left so I decided to be social for once and wait until he was finished.
"How was your night?" I decided to ask him to have some small talk during breakfast. He looked back at me and shrugged a little.
"It wasn't really cold with someone so close to me" he said, his voice sounding a little teasing and I blushed like a 12-year-old girl.
"I'm really sorry but I don't really have any control over myself when I'm sleeping, and I'm always cold" I said and smiled shyly. He just put his arm around my shoulder.
"Don't worry about it, I don't mind having a cute boy cuddled up next to me for the night" he said, kissing my cheek and standing up. He immediately walked away, leaving me with a red face on the chair. I got up and walked after him, but he had already disappeared. When I got to the tent, he wasn't there either so I walked towards Zack, asking him if he'd seen Oliver.
"He got all of his stuff and left to the bus, before breakfast so he's probably already at the bus" he told me and shrugged, stealing a glance at Natasja before looking back to me and I grinned."Do you like her?" I asked him, whispering and I just saw him blush a little, which was proof for me that he did actually like her. I just smiled back. "You should talk to her, I think she likes you too" I told him and grabbed the last few pieces of luggage I had with me and left the tent.
The bus was kind of close to the tent so I got there rather quickly. I gave my luggage to the bus driver except for my backpack with some water bottles in case I got thirsty. As soon as I got on the bus, my eyes looked for Oliver and I saw him so I went over to him.
"Apparently we have to share everything the entire trip, since we're the only single travellers" he told me, a grin appearing on his face. "If you don't mind, of course" he added to that and I just smiled back and shrugged. "Well, should we do some questions to get to know each other better? We still have a couple of hours in this bus to go, better make the best out of it" he said and I nodded.
"I'll start" I told him and he nodded, encouraging me to ask the first question. "Uh, how old are you?"
"I'm 25, you?" he told me, and I nodded.
"21, where are you from?" I asked back.
For the next two hours of the bus drive, we asked each other questions to get to know each other better, and after that I fell asleep again because I was really tired.
