2. Peace OUT

The fight wasn't over. They put up a good one though, and so did Tony.

I say through the earpiece, "I'm seriously injured, Mr. Stark." I glance down at the red soaked shoulder and back. I curse, "Why the hell was it white? What if I had my period?"

"At least you don't have that web thing that barely covered your lady parts," Peter chirps. Then he gasps, "Shoot! Sorry this is a public thing..."

I didn't really care about Peters cute mistake. I just cringed when I tried to move out of the terminal. My back and shoulder was already healing but dear god it hurt.

"What happened, kid?" Mr. Stark worried voice says.

"I got stabbed by tiny pieces of glass on my back."

"What the hell? Nat, do you hear this?"

"Sadly, I do," Black Widows voice says. "Look, kid, you gotta push through it. It's just glass--"

"Also, I have a shard of glass in my shoulder." I though Karin had taken it out, but I think the tip is this in there, which was really slowing my process.

"I can heal," I add before anyone can interrupt. "I did this to myself and Karin actually helped with taking out the ones on my back but I think she left a piece in my shoulder by mistake."

"You know what? Just Stay out of it," Tony rushes, "Your hurt, fair--what the hell is that?"

"Who? what?" Peter and I say together.

"Maze," Rhodes sighs, seeming to not talk to the ref of us. "We were friends."

"So were they," the muffled voice of what I assumed was Maze says. "But its's not stopping you from hurting them."

I don't listen to this affair because I primarily don't understand what's going on. I limp inside the terminal, staying out of the fight from now on. I spot a hangar from across the terminal and guess that that's where Barnes and Cap were going.

I guess I did choose the wrong side. Peter had a reason to stay with the governments side at this point, but I didn't. I had no family left, so I had no one to fight for. Maybe fighting for Peter could count, but Peter can fend for himself.

The government did a fuck-up job of taking me back to California. They didn't bother putting me in a foster home. Instead, I got kidnapped by some OS-CORP people, but this asshole took me in and apparently was "trying to keep me away from the human trials". Thankfully, I wasn't put under much security...

In the end, I escaped. After the end, I found out we had a goddamn field trip in Physics. I found Peter, whom I still didn't really know...he got bit by the spider the asshole "tried to keep me away from" and then the stupid mother fucker landed on my ankle and bite me too.

Of course I knew I was in deep shit. I ditched following Peter and my Physics class and headed towards my foster house that I stayed at.

Then I was swittched to a new foster home and still stayed in the same high school. Then I noticed Peter for the first time and then and then we became vigilantes.

Peter is really just the good guy here. He's a good guy who lost his uncle. He lost his parents as well. He just was a good guy and that's why I'm here. Because as much as I seem like I'm on Tony's side, I probably am not.

I could sign my name, but that's it. I can't abide by the governments word. They're corrupt, and that's something you can see.

I couldn't leave. Not when Peter was out there and fighting.
