The Next Day......
I had stayed up all night thinking about what happened at the bonfire; the words kept repeating in my mind. Capture the flag had started after the bonfire but I couldn't bare to go after what happened. I turned on my side to see that it was 5:00 on the dot, so I decided to get up since there was no point in going to sleep now. Caroline was passed out like a light when I got up, I laughed slightly and went over to my dresser grabbing some clothes to put on. A grey crop top, jeans with a million holes, black combat boots, and my favorite leather jacket was what I grabbed and put on. I didn't want to wake anyone so I opened the window and jumped out. When I landed I smiled And ran a hand through my wavy hair. The waves crashed along the beach and I could hear distant thunder in the background along with streaks of lighting.
As I walked along the sidewalk beside the beach I kept my eyes peered out for anything out of the ordinary. But little did I know that I would end up seeing Mason and Jeremy talking to one another behind the arena. I raised an eyebrow wondering why they where up so early; so I decided to go find out. I walked a little closer and hid behind a bush not to close to where they could see me but close enough to where I could hear them. The more I listened into the conversation the more confusing it got.
"Come on man you gotta believe me, Lydia is the one that the prophecy is about" Jeremy argued.
"Jeremy... There's no way, how could Lydia be the betrayer? I mean yeah she's evil but hat really only to the people who's done all kinds of shut to her, for example cheating on her with the girl she absolutely hates" Mason stated as he gave Jeremy the evil eye with his eyebrow raised. As I listened my heart stopped when I heard mason say 'The Betrayer'. What does that even mean?
Jeremy put his hands up in defense "I know I know! Jeez stop putting that on me and anyways, me and Taylor aren't even together anymore it was just a fling"
Mason rolled his eyes "yeah okay...." He said sarcastically. I laughed slightly at Mason's comment a little too loudly. The two both turned my way and I ducked quickly. Mason turned back to Jeremy and they started to walk my way. I could hear my heart beating faster and faster as I heard their footsteps coming closer then I heard a voice "Aye! Guys what are you two doing down there?!" Thomas shouted as he came out from inside of the arena. My eyes widen, what in the name of hades is doing here?!
As I tried to find out way Thomas of all people would be hanging out with the two I hate the most. But I listened into the conversation and it made a hell of lot more sense.
"Mason when you stabbed her you laced the knife right?" Thomas asked him. Mason nodded "yeah, but I still don't understand why I needed to stab her. I mean it felt good but we didn't have to hurt her that bad..." Mason stated. Jeremy listened staying out of the conversation, Thomas rolled his eyes slightly "well she's healed, and that means we have to spend this plan up. You still want to be king... Don't you?" He asked Mason. Mason gulped "y-yes, of course I do" he said his voice shaking. "Good, you're a better candidate then Luke ever was" Said Thomas. My eyes widened "what the hell are they planning...?" I asked myself quietly "I have to tell Chiron..." I bent down looking over the bush seeing the Big house out of the corner of my eye, if I ran fast enough I could make it.

So I ran as fast as I could.
