Chapter 6

Nancy called me earlier this morning and told me that there are openings for the dance group "Lime Pavements" ,  I thought of joining but on second thought I knew my dad wouldn't allow me , he never allowed me in joining organizations and clubs that I like instead he always joins me in farming clubs and I didn't even liked it , I suffered boredom in farming club for 5 years , I want to do something I want I don't want to do something by force. So I went downstairs and saw my dad reading the newspapers. 

Me: Dad , can we talk about something just for a few minutes , please? 

Dad: Okay what is it about dear?

 Me: Dad its about the Lime Pavements Auditions 

Dad: Wait what is "Lime Pavements"? , and what kind of audition , Me: Dad uhm thats a dance group , and I would like to auditon 

Dad: But you have a club already , can't you just remain there? 

Paige: Dad! Let me do something I want , and don't force me in a group that bores me , I remained in that club for at leat 5 years but you don't allow me audition? 

Dad: But dear , do you even know how to dance , they might just laugh at you 

Paige: Dad , ever since 8 yrs.old when I loved listening to music , I also learned to dance up until now don't you have faith in me? 

Dad: I do but you're better in farming 

Paige: Dad no! You just don't know! I'm going to audition whenever you want it or not. 

So I went to my bedroom and grabbed my coat and went to the venue of auditions. 

So when I arrived at the venue I saw Meek Ackerman she's the lead dancer of the dance group , Oh my gosh she still looks pretty when she was wearing her black harem pants and a hanging shirt. So I went to her and introduced myself .

Me: Hi Meek! I'm like your biggest fan.

Meek: Oh hi nice to meet you , good that you know my name. *smiles*

Me: Why wouldn't I know you're like so popular! And by the way my name is Paige Cooper.

Meek: You have a very cool name I see , so are you here for the auditions?

Me: Oh yes I am. 

Meek: Oh okay just go to the audition room and your number 36 in the auditions .

Me: Number 36? But I need to go home early.

Meek: Don't worry Paige , its number 19 already , and auditions don't take too much long. I'll just call you.

Me: But why aren't you there watching those who audition??

Meek: I watched 18 auditions , I told Renee to replace me first because I'm a little tired , but don't worry in your audition I'll be the one watching. We're like friends now *smiles*

Me: Awww how sweet of you Meek , wait Renee? Renee Payne? Oh the 2nd leader of your dance group. Oh I'll just go to audition room I'm a little nervous but I'll try not to be.

Meek: Okay , see you later at the stage. 

-number 34 in auditions-

Omygee! I'm next I better show my best dancing skills , I better show a few simple dancing stunts like a cartwheel maybe. Oh I need good luck , good thing I brought the charm pin my Aunt gave me. 

Meek: Number 36! Number 36! Please come to the stage. 

I only practiced the 30-second dance I did earlier this morning , so the song that I'll be dancing is "Give Me Everything Tonight" by Pitbull,Neyo,Usher & Afrojack. So on the stage while I was performing dance I was thinking about positive things then at the last part I did a cartwheel twice. Then after my dance Meek stood up and she was clapping and smiling at me, so I had a thought that I'd pass the audition. 

So I waited for the other dance auditions to finish , because she will be announcing the top 14 dancers who will be in Lime Pavements. 

Meek: Okay people! This is it

Renee: Okay keep your smiles on even though you don't pass , you're all great dancers okay? 

Meek: And the top 15 is 

Audition Number 1 ,2 , 6 , 7 , 13 , 14 ,16 , 20 ,23 , 25 , 29 , 33 , 36 , 43 , 49 

Me: AAAAHHH! I'm in

Omygee! That was so embarrasing! But good news is I'm in! Well the total of people who auditioned are 50 people , but I just can't believe I passed , its like I'm dreaming?Am I ? *slapped my face so hard* . Yes! I'm not dreaming! I'm not dreaming. So I was on my way home but before I rode the taxi cab Meek and Renee hugged me and they said with a big grin "Congratulations Friend!" . It was like the best day of my life. 

Its 8:23 p.m when I was in the living room I heard my father yelling "Paige Coopers!" then I went to him bravely but before I speak he said something "I'm sorry If I became a selfish father , I shouldn't have forced you in the farming club , but I guess its too late for you to join the dance group , how could I make you happy now?" then I hugged my father tightly saying "Sssh dad its okay , I auditioned and you know what I passed." Then he hugged me tighter and said "You're the best dancer in the world I'd ever known".
