0-8-4

We arrived back at the plane in 10 minutes just like Coulson said. The whole time, I was contemplating on wheather to join them. I mean I was super curious. What was an 0-8-4? And maybe, just maybe I could get some insider info for the Rising Tide if and when I want to leave. But a part of me thought that maybe if I join them, they won't let me leave.

We arrived back, and the team was waiting for us. Fitz and Simmons looked excited, and Ward and May looked their usual grumpy nonemotional selves. Granted May saved my life, I liked her, but Ward still got on my nerves.

Coulson landed the car (that's really weird to say), and he pulled it up next to the planes other vehicle, an all black SUV. No doubt bullet proof and everything. Before Coulson talked to anyone on his team, he turned to me. "So, have you made up your mind?" He asked.

I bit my lip. This was it. I knew what I had to do. "I'll do it" I said. He smiled.

"Good. Pack your bags, we have one more bunk on the plane for you. You'll be coming on as a consultent." He said getting out. He walked with his team. I walked down the ramp to my van. I was going to miss it.

I opened it up, and grabbed anything I might need. I packed my two full bags of clothes, and some of my gadgets. I packed them in a cardboard box. I threw out my bags.

I looked around and men were already packing up the plane. Strange men in black suits. I shouldered my two bags, and picked up my box. A man came down, and I knew he'd be the one taking my van. "Hey, no joy rides, okay?" I said. "That's my house."

"No worries" He said. He put a black pyramid thing on the hood of my van, making it automatically turn on by itself.

"Where do they think of this stuff?" I scoffed. I turned, and walked back onto the plane, up the ramp. I felt it close behind me. It was nice being able to walk in without being handcuffed and blindfolded.

I looked ahead to the lab. The doors opened, and Simmons walked out smiling. She was always smiling. "Oh, agent Coulson told us the news. What a wonderful surprise." She said. Fitz came up beside her smiling too. "Isn't it, Fitz?"

"Yeah" He said.

"No, it's wonderful. You must be very excited." She said.

"Yep, frist day of school." I joked. Fitz reached out, and grabbed my box from me.

"Okay, so... just-- sorry" She said leading me up the stairs. "Yeah." I followed her, and Fitz followed me.

We reached the top, and I got a good look around. Fitz started talking. "Officially, it's an airborne mobile command station. But we call it the bus. We find it best to use shorthand when in the field. But everything has to be just so, you know, because of the danger." I nodded.

"Yeah, I've been up here before, but I didn't see much because of the bag that agent Ward put over my head." I said.

"Yes, so sorry about that. Water?" She asked picking up a waterbottle. I took it.

"Wheels up in two. Lock it or lose it." It was May over the intercom.

I looked to Simmons. "What's that mean?" I asked.

"No backing out now." she said excitedly. "Let's find a bunk for our guest."

Fitz passed me. "Oh, oh, yeah, there's only one left, and it's right next to mine." he said carrying the box. He ran into a small bunk room, and placed the box on my new bed. "Sorry, you can..." he ran out of my way, so I could get in. I placed my bags on the bed also.

I heard a knockin on the wall. I turned around, and saw Ward looking at me. He was wearing a white t-shirt and jeans. "Hey." I said. "I know we didn't really--"
