For the second time in a week, Perrie tucks herself into Leigh-Anne's guest bed. She ought to go to sleep; the 'party' is tomorrow and she should get some sleep tonight. Hopefully she can just walk in, meet Jade's brother, and hightail it out of there without even getting a glimpse of Jade. Oh, wait, no, that's not possible, since she also dragged Leigh-Anne into this, too.
And Leigh is actually very much looking forward to it, as unbelievable as it is.
The invitation stated that she could also bring a friend of her own.
Leigh-Anne had squealed when Perrie asked her at her house yesterday, screaming without a second's hesitation: "Yes, it'll be so fucking lit!"
"Not if Jade's there," Perrie grumbled to herself and stalked back into her room after tossing the invite onto Leigh's lap. "Not if her fucking spoiled stepbrother's there."
"Hey, you haven't even met him yet," Leigh-Anne called from outside. "Hell, have you even seen him yet? He is one gorgeous specimen, that I can say. "
"I've never heard of this guy, yet he's supposed to be Jem Thirlwall's stepson? It's just shady," Perrie defended herself. "Plus, I don't care how he looks."
"But you will care how the whole place looks though." Leigh-Anne had skipped into the room, waving the goddamn invite. "It's the Lanesborough for God's sake. Their pool is perfect for pool parties."
Perrie blanched. "It's a pool party?"
Leigh eyed her. "Have you not read the invite?"
"I-uh, sort of skimmed over it," Perrie sighed out, running over to her closet in search of acceptable swimwear. "Fuck, I haven't tanned myself and I'm so out of shape, I don't want to go," the blonde whines.
"Stop being so dramatic," Leigh said, rolling her eyes.
"Says the girl that is perfectly fit and tan."
"That's because I go out to the beach, on like, every free weekend I have," Leigh shook her head and practically tore Perrie's closet apart. "This is perfect!" Five minutes later, she'd held up a piece of skimpy swimwear that Perrie never realized she had.
Perrie shook her head frantically. "I'd rather go naked than wear that. What's the point?, it covers nothing anyway." The blonde had shouldered Leigh aside and grabbed the first thing she saw, which she deemed acceptable - a patterned bikini that wrapped around her curves and covered enough of her bum. "I'll just go along with this. It's bad enough already," she said to Leigh.
"Bad?" Leigh said sarcastically, feigning shock. "Wait till you see mine."
"I don't want to," Perrie had shot back.
