In the Kitchen of the School Mal whisked together the ingredients for the love spell in the kitchen of the school.
Her 7 friends hung out around her.
Carlos said " You want a treat, Dude?" He pulled a snack out of the fridge and walked it over to the the rust-colored pooch, who sat in a bowl on the stove top.
Mal said to herself, "Okay," as she referenced the spell book.
Evie scampered over, carrying a bowl of walnuts.
Mal incanted, stirring the contents of the large metal bowl. She said "Crush his heart with an iron glove by making him a slave to love," Then, she turned to Evie, Ash, and Lena. Mal pouted and said "Um, all right. It says that we still need one tear. I never cry."
Carlos said "Let's just chop up some onions," as he hold up an onion.
Mal said "No! It says that we need one tear of human sadness. This love potion gets the best reviews, so we have to follow it exactly. "
Jay said "A tear's a tear,"
Lena said "That's not true, Jay. They both have antibodies and enzymes. " Evie continued "But an emotional tear has more protein based hormones than a reflex tear."
Ash grinned and said "Listen to you two,"
Evie and Lena bleamed.
Jay said "Yeah, I knew that,"
Rick said "Did not," as he tapped his arm.
Jay said "Yeah, I did"
The kitchen door opened. Lonnie appeared in bright pink floral pajamas.
Lonnie said "There you are, Mal!" as she walked towards her.
Mal hid the spell book under a kitchen towel.
She said "I was looking for you! You know, all the girls want you to do their hair!" She looked from Mal to Ash to Evie to Lena to Carlos to Rick to Jay and Stefan. Then, she looked at the bowl in front of Mal. She said "Midnight snack, huh? Whatcha guys making?"
Ash said "Nothing special. Just cookies. "
Lonnie swiped a taste of dough from the bowl.
Ash and her friends shouted in unison, "No! Wait!"
Lonnie licked her finger with gusto.
Everyone stared at her.
Lonnie looked from person to person and said "What? I'm not going to double dip."
Evie asked "Feel anything?"
Mal said "Yeah, like it's missing something?" as she studied her.
Stefan run a hand through his hair and gave Lonnie his most dashing smile, planting himself in front of her. He said "Hey, there."
Lonnie gave him a blank stare and said "Could use some chips," as she headed over to the refrigerator and opening the door.
Stefan looked stung as Jay chuckled under his breath.
Ash said "And those are...?"
Lonnie said "Chocolate chips. Just the most important food group." as she set a bowl of chocolate chips down the table. She noticed their blank stares and said "Wait. Didn't your mom's ever make you guys chocolate chip cookies?" Like when you're feeling sad, and they're fresh from the oven with a big old glass of milk and she makes you laugh and puts everything into perspective and..." Her voice trailed off.
Ash and her friends stared at Lonnie as if she were speaking another language.
Lonnie asked them, "Why are you all looking at me like that?"
Mal said "It's just different where we're from,"
Lonnie said "Yeah, I know. I just, I thought, even villains love their kids."
They were all lost in a real glimpse of what they've been missing.
Lonnie said "How awful," Tears welled in her eyes at the thought. She touched Mal's hand in a comforting way. Mal watched as a fat tear rolled down Lonnie's cheek. Mal quickly wiped it away, surreptitiously flicking it into the dough.
Mal said "Yeah, well, bug bummer, but we have to get these into the oven, so thank you so much for coming by. Really, really, have a good night," as she guide Lonnie towards the door.
Evie mixed the dough furiously.
Ash said "See you tomorrow. Evil dreams," while waving.
Lonnie said "Good night!" as she ducked out of the kitchen.
Mal turned towards her friends. She clapped and said "Okay! Boys. Cookie sheets!"
They loaded the dough onto the sheets and waited till the cookies were done and cooled before transferring them to a baggie and heading to their dorms to sleep.

The next morning, Ash walked through the school and outside by the lockers. She spotted Carlos at a careful distance and decided to suprise him. She tip toe her way to Carlos and cover his eyes. She giggled and said "Guess who?" Carlos smiled and acted dumb, "Hmm, Mal?" Ash smiled and said "No," Carlos guessed again, "Lena?" Ash said "No!" Carlos faked gasped and said "Evie?!" Ash uncover her hands from his eyes and said "It's me," Carlos said "I know,"
They both shared a soft, gentle kiss and kept going. Until Lena said "Guys! As much as I love to disturbed your little unfortunate love, but we are in a mission remember? " They both pulled away and Ash said "Lena, do you have anyone else to torture? Like Jay?", Carlos smirked at Ash's response. Lena widened her eyes and blushed as Ash mentioned Jay. Evie and Rick walked towards them and Evie said "Hey guys! Did Mal gave Ben the cookie?"
Ash sighed and glanced over Mal while Ben grabbed the cookie and scarfed it down. She said "Let's go over there and find out, "
Jay, Stefan, Carlos, Rick, Evie, Lena, and Ash crept close to Mal and Ben.
Jay clapped his hand on Ben's shoulder. He asked "How you feeling, bro?"
Mal looked at Ben, pleased that the spell seemed to be working.
Ben told her, "I feel like singing your name! Mal!"
Mal looked horrified and clamped a hand over his mouth.
Stefan said "Let's get you to the game," while he and Jay steered Ben away.
Evie, Lena, Carlos, Rick, and Ash shot Mal a look. Mal gulped and smiled.
