(Harvey's P.O.V.) (Eldest son)
"Yes. You did it my love." I say excited that Stacy had killed Luke, and also glad that I was able to see everything that was happening through her eyes.
I quickly lost my smile though when I heard someone yell at Stacy as if they were angry. I would've been mad that someone had caught Stacy, but when I saw her I thought I was seeing things. This girl was full of tattoos that she could use to save people, and hurt people with. She was just like me. I watched as this girl killed Stacy without any trouble. I had lost all sight which meant that Stacy was gone.
"No!" I yell slamming my hand against the wall beside me.
I stood up, and walked away from the room. I rubbed my face having a hard time remembering the girl's face. She was just like me though. I needed to find her. I was having a hard time being sad about Stacy. She was my wife though. She was also just a normal human. I'm surprised she managed to fool Luke as much as she did. I walked into the living room to find all of my siblings in there. Kyle looked up at me, and gave me a cocky smile.
"She didn't succeed did she?" He asked closing his book, and setting it down beside him.
"She died." I say leaning against the double door frame.
"Awe I'm sorry man. You don't seem too upset."
"I can't seem to understand why."
"How did she die?"
"Her heart was crushed. Literally. But the person who did it. I can't seem to remember what she looked like. She had tattoos all over her."
"Everyone has tattoos Harvey."
"No she was able to use them as a weapon."
"Damn. Those boys don't have a sister though. It's just them. I would know I've been in the house before." Emily explained standing up. "Maybe you were just seeing things." She explained before walking past me.
"I just wish I could find her."
"I'm sure she's out there somewhere."
"I suppose you're right. I just hope I'll be able to find her soon. Aside from that though I need to go clear my head. I'm gonna go for a walk. I'll see you guys later."
"Alright have fun."
I walked away from the living room, and down the hall to the front door. I walked out closing the door behind me, and then walked down the stairs. Quickly, I walked away from the house, and saw a girl dressed in mostly black walking down the sidewalk. She stopped and looked at her surroundings, and then saw me. She gave me a shy smile that was welcoming, and I walked across the street over to her.
"Hi there." She said with a nice smile, and I recognized the tattoos that were on her face.
"Hi. Would you mind walking with me?" I ask her politely.
"I don't know. That seems a little sketchy." She said looking at me then up at the sky.
"I promise I won't hurt you or try to do anything."
"Alright... I'll walk with you only if you tell me your name first."
"Harvey. Harvey Acevedo." I say shaking her hand.
"Ellie." She said before we started walking.
"So Ellie do you live around here?"
"No. I live a block away. I just wanted to walk this way today because I've never been over here. I'm glad I walked this way though."
"Me too. I also love your tattoos. What inspired you to get them?"
"Not too sure. I just thought they looked cool."
"Well they do look cool."
"What inspired you to get yours?"
"Not too sure myself. I would say the truth about them, but you'd probably run away."
"You'd be surprised Harvey. I hold secrets about my tattoos no one will ever understand."
If only she'd known the truth about me. She wouldn't try to hide her tattoos either. I think to myself before speaking again.
"You'd be surprised how obvious one secret is for another."
"What do you mean?"
"What I mean is there isn't just one person who can do one thing. There's always another, and these people can detect those kinds of people. The people who are just like them." Ellie looked at me as if she was worried, and then stopped walking.
"Is there something you know about me? Something you can detect?"
"Yes my dear. I would be glad to tell you what it is, but not here. Somewhere else."
"Where?"
"I'll take you to my place, and we can talk there. If that's alright with you."
"Its fine. Just don't play any tricks on me, okay?"
"I promise not to."
"Then we may go."
We walked to my house in silence, and usually I would rather have a conversation but with Ellie it was different. It felt like were talking, but without words. We made it to the house, and went inside. I managed to get her up the stairs, and into my room without anyone noticing. Once we were in my room, and I had locked the door, I looked at her with interest.
"So... What exactly do you know about me?" Ellie asked looking at me confused but interested.
"I know what your tattoos really do."
"I don't know what you're talking about..."
"Yes you do. I can prove it to you."
"Oh yeah? Go ahead. Prove it." I smiled at her words, and grabbed the pocket knife out of my pocket then opened it. "What is a pocket knife gonna do? I'm not a magnet." She said and I threw the knife at her. As soon as it got close to her face I saw a vine come from her wrist stopping the knife.
"That's what it will do." I explain walking over to her, and grabbing the knife that was now in her hand.
"What are you gonna do? Experiment on me? Kill me?"
"I won't do anything to you."
"You won't?"
"No. Because I'm just like you. I can do the same thing as you." I explain closing the knife, and throwing it onto my bed.
"What? How is that possible?"
"Because there's always another person like you out there. You aren't alone." She looked down at the ground, and I put my hand on her waist, and it caused her to look up at me. "I can prove it."
"Then prove it." I smiled and took her hand into mine, and watched as my thorny vines tattoos, and her vine tattoos swirled and intertwined with each other.
"There. You've got your proof. Need anymore?"
"No. I think that's enough proof. What else is it proving though?" I let go of her hand, and gave her a flirtatious look.
"It proves that opposites really do attract." She gave me shy smile, and then she looked down at the ground. "This is a challenge I'm willing to accept." I mumble to myself quiet enough so that Ellie can't hear me.
"It's a challenge I'm willing to accept myself. Shall we begin?" Ellie said looking at me with a flirtatious smile, and I couldn't help but chuckle a little not knowing she would hear me.
