You see, there's a reason why my name has to be cleared and I need the money. Sure, I was known as the "fuckboy" of the school, but I needed some kind of title, didn't I?

So you probably think I'm a shitty person, right? Right, I don't blame you.

* Flash back *

"Sammy! I'm back!" I called, my voice ringing through the house, closing the door behind me.

Mum was at work and so was Dad. They weren't on best terms but my biggest concern was my little brother, Sam.

My little brother was very sick, but he was a strong kid for his age. Or so I thought.

I ran up to his room to see him passed out on the floor, I panicked and dialed the emergency services and within minutes they took him in.

I wasn't allowed to visit him until he's had proper treatment, which we couldn't afford and still can't. I haven't seen Sam in about two years, and I'm working on getting the proper money, but I ran into trouble.

I began doing drugs, smoking and all. So I had money, but I used it on drugs which I thought would help me cure the pain. I stopped but still haven't paid my debt. Which is more money adding up.

My mother has a poor paying job and my father is usually out and about. Sure, when Phil was over my father acted perfect, but I knew once my father caught me alone I'd be in trouble.

I made the deal with Chris so it would benefit me, with money and for sex, which I'm sure once the boy is in love with me he'll be willing to give me.

But for now, it would be a while.

* End *

We arrived at the campgrounds and I woke Phil up. His body was curled up against the side of the door. He yawned and took off his seat belt. Phil's blue eyes widened at the sight. "How do you find these places?"

"I just do."

"Dan?"

"Yes, Phil?"

"I-"

We suddenly heard a snap.
Phil gasped and ran out to see what it was.
"Phil, wait! It could be-"

"Dan!" Phil shouted, causing me to fill up with panic. I ran where his shouts came from and sighed of relief when he was unharmed. Phil was holding a little nest, craddled in it, were three eggs.

"A branch fell and the nest came crashing down." Phil replied, his bright blue orbs becoming dull and they drenched in sadness and pity for the creatures that sat in the eggs. I pat his back. "Let's go find a place for them to be safe in." I say, chuckling a little.
Phil nodded, following me.

We began searching, and I found a place. "Phil! Over here!" It was a high rock protected with a little den of small rocks. "Put it in here, protected from other birds, being stepped on, and harsh weather." I offer, actually proud of myself. Phil smiled and kissed my cheek, then placing the nest inside the little den. "The little guys should be fine."

We walked back to the car where we began to make a fire, not out of the car, I swear. We decided we didn't want a tent, we were just going to cuddle in the car and eat toasted marshmallows and cook burger meat with the fire as well.

Just as we were finishing our food a rain drop fell on Phil's nose, causing him to giggle. I smiled. Phil and I rushed things into the trunk of the car or back into place where the rain wouldn't damage it. We grabbed blankets and pushed them up against the windows so we wouldn't see outside.

Honestly, I hated looking outside at night time.

Dan lay down first in the backseat, I then put my head on his chest, because I was literally laying on top of him. We wrapped a blanket around us and I sighed into his chest. We lay in silence, the rain slowly beginning to fall harder against the windows. It was peaceful and I loved it. Dan wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed the side of my head. Thunder then began to rumble in the distance, no lightning in sight due to the blankets blocking out our view of the outside.

Thank god, I hate looking out during the dark.

I also hate thunderstorms.

Dan seemed to sense that when I flinched about the thunder and he rubbed my back. "Shh, you'll be alright. I'm right here, you're okay." He whispered, as I nuzzled my head into neck. "Hey, let's talk about something," Dan added, in a soft tone, almost as if he were whispering. His voice sounded silky and laced with purity. "Let's talk about the future. What do you want to do when you're older, Phil?"

I thought to myself, and took a deep breath for answering. "Honestly, for college, I'd probably major in English so I can write whatever I desire. If not, I think I would want to do something on the internet." I heard Dan let out a small, "aww," before stroking my hair. "I don't know what I want." Dan answers, sounding uneasy. "I know I want a place one day with someone I adore more than life itself. I want to wake up to their face every single day of my life. I ask for nothing more. I don't care if the whole world wants me dead, as long as I have yo- uh, someone I love waking up beside me every morning."

I smiled. "You'll look at them every morning and you better call that look, 'heart eyes Howell' or I will find you."

He scoffed. "Love eyes Lester."

I laughed. "Whatever, as long as I wake up to someone I love, I'll be fine too."

Oh, but only if you knew it's you who I desire to wake up to.

Only you.

"Phil?"

The way my name rolled off his tongue was like tasting your favorite flavor of cake for the longest time and you just wanted to make it last.

"Yes, Dan?"

"How would you feel if we moved in,"

I smiled to myself.

"Together?"
