" So you excited?"
"For what?"
" Well Zane is taking you out today right? "
" Oh Ya. I guess so."
" Oh come on I know your just hiding your feelings. I feel another make-out scene coming."
" Stop." I giggle. Sianna smiles.
" Text me the det's k Vi."
" Ya Ya." Sianna walks away. She is my best friend and we always got each other's backs. I love but I wish she could tone it down when I talk about Zane. I walk down Elmer's street as I here someone running. I turn my head and wrap my long brown hair behind my ear.
" Hey Violet."
" Hey Zane." I smile as I wrap my arms around his neck."
" Pick you up at eight."
" Ok. I'll meet you at the back." I said. Zane and me have been dating for a couple months, but those were one of the best moments of my life. Today is our three month anniversary and he's taking me somewhere special.
" So how's Mr. Finch? More boring than ever I bet."
"You know it. He read from the book and that class was definitely a snooze fest." I said" I wish we would have at least two class together."
" I do too but it's...... school. Well this is my stop. Don't forget, even if we die today, I'll still love you Violet." O give him another hug and kissed him.
" I love you too." I try to work up a smile as we move apart. It feels like every time we're away we grow less connected. I walk as I feel winter start to kick in. The leaves are about to fall, the cold weather hits me and everything looks.... dead. I hate winter! I always have since I was little because there always have to be a down-fall to the holidays. Last year my aunt died and the year before that everyone had the stomach flu for weeks. I can't wait until summer enters. I stop at my house and unlock the door.
"MOM!!! I'm home!!! "
" Hi honey." she said" Dinner will be ready at five."
" Great in two hours. Well I'm gonna do my homework."
" Ok. Not to loud, Will is sleeping." I walked to my room. My opened textbooks bore me to death and I can barely think anyways. I just have too many questions in my mind. What disaster is gonna happen next? Is it going to affect my relationship with Zane? What could possibly mess it up more? It's obvious that everyone could tell, me and him aren't gonna last. With his practices and my poetry and writing club, we couldn't possibly have time for each other. To top it off our disagreements get in the way of what's really important.
These options and questions bothered me for a bit that I only got a quarter of my homework done. I would have been finished by now.
"Violet dinner is ready!!!" yelled my mom.
"Ok!" I get off of my bed and walk to the dinner table, still thinking about him. I wish everything can just work out. But in reality, wishes don't always come true.
