Summer Sterling cheered as the graduation ceremony came to an end. Her blond curls bobbed as she jumped up and down in excitement.
The fact that she had just graduated from Frasier College had begun to sink in. To her, it felt like only yesterday that she had moved into her dorm room a few days after her eighteenth birthday. Four years later, with a degree in psychology, she felt that she was finally ready to start a new path in her life.
Her best friend, Amber Johnson, turned to her. "Summer, we did it!"
Summer smiled at her. "We sure did! Now what will we do?"
"Well, we've got our trip to Prague to look forward to!" Amber tucked her red ombre hair behind her ear.
Ever since the girls were both six, they were planning to go to Europe together. For years it had been nothing but a dream, but now it was becoming a reality.
"Then you go on to be a real estate agent, while I get my story published." Summer recalled.
"Enough with this unnecessary exposition!" Amber grabbed her best friend's arm. "Let's go get sushi!"

After everyone exchanged tearful goodbyes, Summer and Amber changed out of their robes and drove to a small sushi restaurant that not many knew about. The owner, a sweet Japanese woman, had a soft spot for the girls since they were her most loyal customers, and also because they reminded her of someone. Amber and Summer didn't want to pry, so they just forgot about it.
They sat in their regular booth near the back as they looked over their menus. Amber's forehead crinkled. "I don't know what to get! Everything is so good!"
"Why not just get little samples of everything?" Summer suggested. "That's what you did after we graduated high school."
Amber's hazel eyes lit up. "Oh my gosh, yes! How could I forget?"
"Easily." Summer teased. "Remember when you forgot your dad's birthday?"
Amber laughed. "Oh yeah! Man, he was ticked off!"
The restaurant owner, Ms. Nukaga, walked over to them and smiled. "Hello girls! Congratulations on your graduation!"
Summer smiled. "Thank you!"
"So, what will you girls be doing now?" Ms. Nukaga asked.
"Summer's flying out to London to stay with her aunt, and I'm gonna try to move out of my dad's house." Amber replied.
"How wonderful!" Ms. Nukaga took out a notepad. "What do you girls want to eat?"
A/N: Sorry for the short chapter! I promise the rest will be longer. Also, sorry for taking so long to update. Writer's block sucks.
More chapters coming soon!
