"Here put this dress on," I said shoving a burgundy dress with a black collar at Madalyn.

She took it out of my hand and slipped it over her head. I grabbed a lipstick to match the color of the dress and swiped it on her lips.

"Sit down. I'm gonna do your hair."

I pulled my green desk chair in front of my dresser so I could see her in the mirror. I straightened her hair and then pulled back the top half into a little bun.

"There ya go."

"Thanks!"

"Girls hurry up!," mom yelled as she walked past my room.

"OKAY!"

I threw a pair of black, lace up, chunky heels at her and a different phone case. I ran over to my suitcases and pulled out a pair of black lace up heels and a different phone case for myself. I quickly fishtail braided my hair and pick up Ellie. I ran downstairs and set her outside on the patio. I pulled my shoes on and picked my phone back up. I ran outside and climbed into dads Lincoln Navigator. I sat in the middle with Faith and Peyton and Madalyn sat all the way in the back.

On the way to her house I decided to text Tori.

'Hiya! Are you going to Mrs. Bailey's tonight?'

A few moments later I got a response.

'Yeah! I'll see you there?'

'Yes ya will!'

I turned my phone of and listend to the music dad was playing.

"What is this?"

"The music? Debussy: La Fille Aux Cheveux de Lin."

"It's beautiful."

He nodded and I leaned my head back against the head rest. I shut my eyes and pictured myself watching it being performed live. After a few minutes, I felt the car turn into Mrs. Bailey's driveway. I opened my eyes and saw her standing on her porch. She approached our car as dad brought it to a stop.

I hopped out the car and ran over to give her a hug.

"Julianna! You look gorgeous! How was Los Angeles?"

"Thank you! Los Angeles was greta! You'll never guess who I saw this morning in the hotel lobby!"

"Who?"

"Chase!"

"Really? What did he say?"

"Not much. He's living with his dad in Seattle now. His mom passed away a couple years ago."

"Oh. That's a shame. I have a surprise for you and Victoria."

And as if on cue, Victoria's car rolled into the driveway. She parked and ran over to us.
