I Am The Lucky One (Baekhyun x Reader)

Part 1 - Captured

"LET ME GO!" you screamed as the two women, dressed from head to toe in white carried you out of your home, the restraints they placed on your wrists prevented you from using your powers to escape. The pain from their grip on your limbs only made you cry out louder, wanting to escape their grip. You knew what they had in store for you, everybody with powers did. Ever since the brief stop of your abilities, you knew what was coming, it only took them three days to find you, just as you were getting your abilities back.

It had started out as a simple morning on this dreaded day, waking up in your own soft bed with your sweet kitty curled up next to you, purring and mewing for you to wake up so you could feed her, then, brewing coffee in your kitchen, letting your cat follow you and rub up against your bare legs, enjoying the tickling sensation of her soft fur against your skin. You prepared a small breakfast of scrambled eggs and bacon before heading to the couch to binge watch (your favorite show), the smell of lilac filled the living room from the air freshener you had plugged in, the screen door open to let some fresh air in, as well as the sweet sound of the birds in the morning. Small petals from the cherry blossom trees floated onto the rug from the light breeze of that spring morning. Then, they showed up. Your worst nightmare coming to life.

At first, there was only one, pretending to be your new landlord, introducing herself, she appeared very pretty and instantly gave you a kind and good vibe as she shook your hand. You never expected her, in one swift motion, to place the dreaded black cuffs on you, instant biting into your flesh, tight and unmerciful against your skin. You had screamed in pain, ultimate despair flooded your senses when she revealed her true form, painfully thin, with a cold, emotionless expression. She went from being dressed in a simple white sweater and jeans to her lab uniform, wearing white from head to toe, a red visor covering her cruel eyes.

For anybody with an ability like and unlike yours, their worst fear was to be taken by these creatures. The experiments they performed on those they caught were inhumane and deadly, nobody came back alive from wherever they were taken. The one time it did happen, the boy was shot and killed before he could reveal what happened to him in the prison he had been locked up in for months.

Why did they need you, though? What use did they have for your ice powers?! You kicked and screamed as more appeared, how did you not notice them before?! The surrounded and held you down until they could carry you to the van they had parked outside. Angry neighbors stared at you with disgust as you struggled to get away. They shouted horrible things at you, all because you were a little different from them. These monsters from the Moon orbiting your planet had brainwashed them into believing that you and others with abilities were monsters that needed to be exterminated.

Your eyes glowed ice blue, trying to channel enough energy to take them out with one simple blast, but whatever they had done to you prevented escape. Tears streamed down your face as they opened the back doors and tossed you inside of the vehicle, into the darkness, with one of them following you in. Your hope vanished as she closed the doors behind you, surrounding you with terrifying darkness. She stared down at you with cold, heartless eyes, daring you to try and fight back against the unknown.

She kicked you, swore at you, hissing at you. She pointed out how you didn't belong on earth, that you were far too dangerous, and far too valuable. Tears spilled down your face into your open mouth. The metallic taste of blood filled your mouth as she struck your face.

Your limited vision began to fog, as did your mind. Her awful laughter was the last thing you heard before you passed out, tears still falling down your face as you silently accepted was was surely the start of a slow death.
