I Am The Lucky One (Baekhyun x Reader)

Part 5 - Escape

Your eyes filled with tears, even if you had your powers back, you didn't have the physical strength to escape. You would be shot within seconds.

"Baek... I can't escape, I would drag you down," you whimpered.

"I am not leaving without you y/n, no matter the cost," Baekhyun said, pressing another kiss to your lips.

You squeezed his hand. You two were going to die if he tried to escape with you. But he wouldn't take no for an answer.

You started forming a plan almost immediately. Use your powers to take out the security system, find where they stored the special pints of blood so you could return powers to survivors, then, make a run for it.

Baekhyun cradled you in his arms and kissed your forehead, "if this is goodbye y/n, always know that I have loved you since the day I saw you, and I will still love you, even if one of us is gone," he whispered in your ear.

"I love you too Baek," you said through tears, you were sure that you were going to die.

"Close your eyes," he said seriously.

You felt the heat begin to radiate in his palm as he drew light and energy into it. The blast was massive. Your ears rang from the noise.

You struggled to stand up and limped to his side. You drew together as much energy as you could and created a wall of ice in the hallway, buying you two some time.

Bodies that the technicians didn't bother moving were everywhere. Out of the corner of your eye, you saw Kai, lifeless with a massive gash in his abdomen, surrounded by a pool of blood. His eyes were still opened, the look of defeat spread across his lifeless expression.

He would never see Krystal again.

Alarms began to ring in the distance. They knew there was an escape. You and Baekhyun had to act fast before they got past the barrier.

You realized that it was the bracelets that they put on you that controlled the use of powers. You and Baekhyun had overridden the technology with all of the emotions when you had kissed.

Instead of getting the blood, you had to turn them off in the security room, which was just ahead.

You felt your legs growing weak, you could hardly keep up with Baekhyun. You stumbled behind him, trying to keep up.

"Y/N!" he screamed as you tripped.

He rushed back to you and threw you over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes and continued to run to the security room.

"Y/N YOU NEED TO TURN OFF THE LOCKS ON THE DOOR AND DISABLE THE BRACELETS!" Baekhyun screamed over the blaring of the alarms.

You two reached the security room and froze the two technicians overseeing what what happening. You slid out of Baekhyun's grip and frantically searched for the button to turn off the effects of the bracelets.

You found the switch and pushed it down, immediately you felt a surge of energy in your veins, your full abilities rushing back into your body.

"Security systems disabled," a robotic voice droned from the speakers.

"y/n, can you run?" Baekyhun asked nervously.

You limped over to him as fast as you could, your legs were too weak.

Baekhyun realized you were too weak to run to the exit, so he lifted you up and carried you out of the room, only to be met by an armed technician. You screamed as she raised her gun to Baekhyun's abdomen.
