It was surprising to me that on first day of school I didn't feel nervous at all. Mostly because I knew I was going to see my friends, Cruz, Tanayah, and Elizabeth. (Destiny wasn't really my friend anymore 'cause she got mad, so yeah). And Elizabeth and me didn't not talk to each other as much anymore. I don't know why.

At lunch we always sat at the same table. It was the table in the outside at the picnic tables. To this day that table seems special to all of us.

The year was going great, 'cause not only was I having a good time with my friends but I also got to meet new people. I firstly met a really nice girl named Arlene. She wasn't really considered a friend at the time because I didn't talk to her much. But she was nice. I met her by us playing basketball outside of our gym. We were taking turns, until Cruz came along screaming "PEPPERONI!" So that he could distract Arlene. She tried again but Cruz yelled again, "PEPPERONI!" So she missed. After that, Arlene started to chase Cruz with a pencil all over the field. 😂

My first period of the day was math class, Dr. Fields. In that class I didn't meet anyone but I payed attention to my classmates to see who was who. This guy named Uriel was in my class. I also noticed that we were in the same STEM class. STEM is my elective by the way. At the beginning of the year we did not talk at all. But one day my STEM teacher Mrs. Fredette, said that we had a project to do with partners. I had no other choice but to be Uriel's partner, and that's how I met him. I also met Angelica from our group. It was a threesome group. From that day and forward I always talked to Uriel and Angelica. We joked about stuff and went into group projects.

Later in the year these new girls showed up at the table in the picnic area. Their names were, Brenda, Maya, Karla. I think that Cruz brought them at the table because he seemed comfortable around them as if he knew them. The three girls were really good friends, they never separated.

Lunch was over that day, and Cruz was walking with them out of the picnic tables, and I followed. As they exited, Cruz and the three girls split up. I didn't know who to go with. I don't know why but I chose the three girls. I wasn't even that social before to do that. Anyways, as I followed, they went to this sitting area with dirt behind it. Karla named it our "mini desert". I remember that they always sat and I always stood up. 25% was me talking to them and 75% was me listening to their conversations.

These three girls were friends with these two guys that always came to our mini desert. They were Jake and Jacob. They were cool. I also remember that Brenda, Maya, and Karla used to call Jake, " JakeTheMagicalUnicorn".

Almost at the end of the year, I was talking to Tanayah. She told me that she was going to go away for the rest of the year to North Carolina, to see her grandpa. I wasn't happy to hear those kind of news because I didn't want to lose another friend. I already lost Abigail and Ismeriah, why lose her next? She didn't get to stay at Desert Willow at the end of the year 😖.

So yeah, after the sadness and crying was over, it was just another ordinary day. When I sat at my (our, excuse me) ordinary table, I noticed that this girl was talking to Arlene. I didn't know what her name was or anything about her. I've never seen her around before. She used to wear glasses with a dark shade in them, and she used to have long hair with dark black eyes. (And yes I could see her eyes through the dark shaded glasses). I said to myself, "should I make a new friend?" I didn't try to make friends with her 'cause it was the end of the year and I didn't know Arlene as much so I wasn't gonna know her. After that day I just forgot about her.

I thought I was ready for the eighth grade. I was prepared and happy to explore and adventure the eighth grade. It was kind of depressing at the last day of school and it was also boring in the summer.
